Shopping Our Stash #536 - Winter But Not Christmas

Greetings and salutations crafty friends!

All the best of the holiday season to you and yours!

Joining in on the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH - WINTER BUT NOT CHRISTMAS

Always looking for ways to use up the many, many, many, many paper collections that I have hoarded, I found this great link on youtube making 18 cards from the Carta Bella Snow Much Fun collection (yep, I have that one).

So I didn't make all 18 cards, but I did make 5!

Cards got a little wet taking pictures in my driveway, not sure if you can see the tiny snowflakes that landed and melted on them - hey it is a winter themed challenge!

Until next time, best wishes and warmest regards...

Hey Dude!

Super excited that both SHOPPING OUR STASH and SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY  have masculine challenges on right now.

I picked up the "Party Animal" stamp, stencil and die set by Concord & 9th not that long ago and had yet to break into it.

I always struggle making dude cards (why is that??) so I thought these ones would work for lots of things depending on the colour scheme (I also struggle not to use pink and purple all the time lol).

I love the reverse stamping of the sentiment stamp, the ink stamps the black background and the text stays the colour of the cardstock underneath.

The colours of balloon dogs in the background required me to number the colours in sharpie on the first stencil and use lots of sticky notes for masking.

This card is almost a direct CASE of the sample card at Two Scrapbook Friends (which might have been why I bought it???)

Entering this card into the following challenges:

Until next time, best wishes, warmest regards...

Shopping Our Stash #533 - Birds of a Feather

Had a day with a little bit of down time today (whhhaaaaattt?????) so I decided to play along with a few challenges including SHOPPING OUR STASH and their latest challenge - "Birds of a Feather" and  SEIZE THE BIRTHDAY challenge #294 - Feather

Some of you may know that I have a weird unwarranted terrifying fear of birds, so I don't have a lot of bird related craft supplies LOL

Last year my crafty friend Christa gifted me a few stamp sets, including this "Dream" set from Lawn Fawn...I knew I had feathers somewhere!

I based my card on this one I found on pinterest:

Here is my watercolour rainbow of feathers (I need to find the coordinating dies now!)

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White and black cardstock (Recollections)
  • Nocturne Versafine ink (Tsukineko)
  • Dream stamp set (Lawn Fawn)
  • Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Watercolour brush (Tim Holtz)

Until next time, best wishes, warmest regards...

Going Green with Shopping Our Stash

Best wishes and warmest regards crafty friends!

Up WAY too early with the time change this morning (weird) and thought I would make a few cards.

I do send out some St. Patrick's Day cards, I married into an Irish family and I got married on St. Patrick's Day - so Kevinator always gets a card with some lucky sharmocks!

I used the Tulla & Norbert's Lucky Charm collection by PhotoPlay for these cards.
