Shopping Our Stash #405 - Dream the Embossible Dream

Greetings and salutations crafty pals!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

The lovely and punny Chris is our challenge host and our theme is:

Dream the Embossible Dream

That means we want to see some sort of embossing (heat, dry, embossing folder or any combination thereof) on your project.

I am trying to build my stash of Christmas cards, this is what I made for the challenge:

I used the SU "Woodland" embossing folder on vellum and then used the tip of a stylus to add the falling snow.

I used a layer of Smoky Slate cardstock under the vellum

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Paper Studio)
  • Smoky Slate cardstock (SU)
  • Black and red cardstock (Recollections)
  • Woodland embossing folder (SU)
  • Small Talk Occasions sticker (Tim Holtz)
  • Fishtail Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
  • Stylus
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG.

While you are there, please leave some crafty love and comments for the rest of the crew!

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!

Thanks for joining Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers for our latest challenge.

Sister Majo is our lovely and talented host this time around and our theme is:

Seems kind of fitting for the challenge after L is for Liquor right??

I am pretty good with gross, you name it, blood, poop, barf...I am on it, no issue...but snot????

Nope, that is absolutely where I draw my "too gross for me" line. So of course, that's where I went with my project.

  • White cardstock (Paper Studio)
  • Black Soot & Twisted Citron distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (SU)
  • Healthy Vibes stamp set and dies (Paper Smooches)
  • Googly eyes
  • Sentiment made with my handy P-touch 1290 label maker

The theme is Ocean / Sea and maybe I just got a whole mermaid themed paper kit!!

Some things are just meant to be!

SoSS #143 - L is for Liquor

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!!

The kiddos have gone back to school (hooorah!!) and Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers are celebrating with a wee bevvie or two or three or four...

SISTER TONI is our host this week, and we are all hoping you will join the L is for Liquor party!

I went for a combo of Star Trek, punny and beer...pretty sure I will use this as #1 phew's birthday card next month.

Of anyone I know, he us sure to appreciate a good Shatner / Captain Kirk joke (and he likes beer!).

And don't worry, I did double stamp the background beer mugs to make it feel like you might be a bit of a drunkie. So, no, you are not having double vision LOL

I showed this card to the hubby and he (quite insightfully) said, the black strip and circle look like the starship Enterprise...well what do you know, it kinda does...a BONUS Star Trek reference....yaaaaaaa...I totally meant to do that!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Paper Studio)
  • Crushed Curry cardstock (SU)
  • Black cardstock (Recollections)
  • Mustard Seed and Black Soot distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Cheers to You stamp set (SU)
  • Icicle and Golden Rod stickles (Ranger)
  • 2" circle punch (Marvy)
  • 2 1/2" circle punch (SU)
  • Sentiment made with my handy dandy P-touch 1290 label maker
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You can find all the details on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there please share some crafty love and comments with our reigning Queen of Snark and the rest of the sisterhood!

Cheers!!
