Edna wants you to break out your brightest colours for V is for Vibrant.

My "brother from another mother" requested a few "thinking of you" cards for some of his photog friends, so while no snark on these, I am pretty happy with how they came out.

Shite I used to make these cards:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Green and Red design paper (CTMH)
  • We Totally Click stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Sentiment Sampler stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • India Black Ink (Hero Arts)
  • Polaroid die (Paper Smooches)
  • Rambunctious Red, Yellow Blaze, Key Lime, Hot Aqua markers (Bic)

SoSS #144 - G is for Gross

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!

Thanks for joining Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers for our latest challenge.

Sister Majo is our lovely and talented host this time around and our theme is:

G is for Gross

Seems kind of fitting for the challenge after L is for Liquor right??

I am pretty good with gross, you name it, blood, poop, barf...I am on it, no issue...but snot????

Nope, that is absolutely where I draw my "too gross for me" line. So of course, that's where I went with my project.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Paper Studio)
  • Black Soot & Twisted Citron distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (SU)
  • Healthy Vibes stamp set and dies (Paper Smooches)
  • Googly eyes
  • Sentiment made with my handy P-touch 1290 label maker
As always, we would love you to share your grossness with the sisterhood and play along!

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some love and comments with our reigning Queen of Snark and the rest of the sisterhood.

Shopping Our Stash #402 - Gone Fishin'

Greetings crafty pals!!

Thanks for visiting today to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

The lovely and talented MiMi is our host and our theme is Gone Fishin'

That means we want to see something fishy (ha ha ha) on your project.

I used a round-ish shaped stamp block covered in Peacock Feathers ink and water spritzed to make the water background.

Now that I see my coloured in fish, I think they should be on an episode of The Simpsons!

This picture seriously disappoints me, the fishies are so much brighter and colourful IRL...but after about 15 pictures, I gave up.....sigh...

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (The Paper Studio)
  • Birthday Buddies stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Peacock Feathers & Black Soot distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Yellow Blaze, Hot Aqua, Key Lime, Sunset Orange, Fandango Pink markers (Bic)
  • Water spritzer (SU)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along!

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG.

Shopping Our Stash #399 - The Dreaded ONE LAYER CARD

Greetings & salutations crafty pals!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

Yours truly is the host this week and for some reason I picked the dreaded  ONE LAYER CARD as our theme

I struggle making one layer cards, but if you check out the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG you will see exactly how it's done by my crewmates!

So here's what I made:
(warning this post is about to get picture heavy)

Not bad right?

I made the background by inking up a stamp block and spritzing it with water then pressing it on the paper, once, twice, maybe a few more...

Then easy peasy lemon squeezy I added the image and sentiment in black.

I was SO impressed with myself for making a one layer card that I kinda liked, that I made six more   LOL

Here they come:
(this is the pic heavy part of the post)

Shite I used to make these cards:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Clear stamping block (SU)
  • Candied Apple, Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry & Black Soot distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • We Totally Click, Green Acres, Slang Gang and Chubby Chums stamp sets (Paper Smooches)
As always we would love for you to join our crew and play along!!

SoSS #75 - S is for Stencils - Part Two

Look at me go!! Two blog posts in a day!
Can't remember the last time that happened!
AND I used more stencils!! Woot Woot Woot!

I was inspired by my snarky sisters and their awesome use of stencils for this week's SoSS challenge, so I thought I would try another stencil based project.

Not sure about your part of the world, but here in Southern Ontario we are in the full throes of winter...and that means lots of flu and colds going around.

That was the inspiration for these two quick and super cute cards using the speckles stencil, some lemon citron distress ink and the healthy vibes stamps and dies by Paper Smooches -their stamps are super cute!!

And if you think it looks like someone sneezed all over the front of these cards...perfect...that's exactly what I was going for!!

I call these snot one and snot two 😉

Sister Jessi often uses googly eyes with her Paper Smooches stamps, so I thought I would give that a go on snot two.

Shite I used to make these cards:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Speckles stencil (Tim Holtz)
  • Twisted Citron distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Mini ink blender tool (Tim Holtz)
  • Water spritzer (SU)
  • Healthy Vibes stamps and dies (Paper Smooches)
  • Fishtail / Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
  • Googly eyes (from my stash)
I am entering these cards into the S is for Stencils challenge over at SoSS. Yes, I am on the design team - but I am linkin' em up anyway...that's just how we roll at the sisterhood!

Shopping Our Stash 190 - Out of the Jar

Happy Happy Tuesday!! This week the challenge theme at SHOPPING OUR STASH is "Out of the Jar."

For this challenge the SOS crew would like you to use anything that came out of a jar (flower soft, glitter, perfect pearls, embossing powder) or a jar image or make something using a Jar.

Here's the card I made for the challenge. I stamped the jar image twice, once on white cardstock and watercoloured it, then again on acetate to layer over top. As much as I dislike fussy cutting, I cut out the jar (twice) and the nasty little green bug.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Black ink (Stazon)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Frayed Burlap, Broken China and Mowed Lawn distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Healthy Vibes stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Jar stamp (Inkadinkado)
  • Acetate sheets (Staples)
  • Sharpie
  • Paper piercer and mat (SU)
  • Water brush (Tim Holtz)
  • Silver sequins (Joann's)
Visit the SOS BLOG for all the details on the challenge and be sure to show my teammies some crafty love while you are there!!
