SoSS #177 - G is for {ugh} Glitter!

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!

Edna fo shizzle has her glitter on for this challenge!

Me on the other hand, I am opposed to glitter in most forms - it gets everywhere, doesn't stay where it should, you end up finding it for days...UGH

However, when I received an awesome glitter covered Christmas card from my cousins in Oz this year, I knew right away I was going to repurpose it for this challenge.

That's about the only type of glitter I like, the type that is already glued to paper and is unlikely to go too far.

I thought the wee reindeer looked a little loopy, so I picked out a suitable sentiment, loaded him up on another layer of glitter paper and voila.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock base (Recollections)
  • Silver glitter paper (SU)
  • Repurposed glittery cardfront
  • Small Talk Snarky sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
  • Foam tape (Dollar Tree)
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please be so kind as to share some love and comments with our reigning Queen of Snark and the rest of the sisterhood.

SoSS #176 - A is for ATC

Greetings, salutations & Happy New Year snarky pals!
Hoping 2021 has only the very best of all the things in store for you!

Thanks for coming by to check out the first challenge of the year from Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Edna wants you to make an ATC, that can be an Artist Trading Card, which is 3.5" x 2.5" or an Artist Trading Coin which is 2.5" across.

I am a total fanatic for the show Schitt's Creek (if you haven't watched it, you really should). Late last year I asked my very talented friend Mimi to carve me a David Rose stamp.

She captured him beautifully AND made me an "eww David" stamp to go with!

So here's what I made for the challenge using Mimi's awesome hand carved stamps:

Shite I used to make these ATCs:

  • Cardboard ATC bases cut from a granola bar box (waste not want not!)
  • Retro TV design paper of unknown origin
  • David Rose and Eww David hand carved stamps made by Mimi
  • Versamark ink
  • Black embossing powder
  • Heat embossing tool
  • Black Soot distress ink
  • Mini ink blender
  • Paper piercer & mat
  • Fine tip Sharpie
As always, we would love you to join the sisterhood and play along!

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with our reigning Queen of Snark and the rest of the sisterhood!

Shopping Our Stash #436 - What's New With You?

Well friends...we made it!
We said goodbye to 2020 - let's hope that 2021 has all the good things in store for us all!
Happy New Year!

Has been a while since our last challenge of 2020, so the SHOPPING OUR STASH crew want to know "What's New With You?"

That means we want to see something new on your project - did you get some new crafty stuff over the holidays? Do you have stuff in your stash you've never used, that is "technically" still new...

I broke open my "Hello Today" collection from Simple Stories and made a few resolution / reminder type projects.

I haven't put them on card bases as I thought might hang them on the bulletin board in my craft room / working from home office.

Here's what I made for the challenge:

Shite I used to make these cards:

  • Hello Today - design paper (Simple Stories)
  • Hello Today - bits and pieces (Simple Stories)
  • Hello Today - puffy stickers
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the crew!
