Greetings and salutations crafty pals!

Hope all is well in your socially isolated part of the world!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

In just a few short weeks we will be celebrating our mums (or moms), so we thought we'd help you get a jump start on your Happy Mother's Day projects.

I get my tea granny-ness from my mum. We always share a pot (or two) when we are together.

I have had this awesome tea time die in my stash for a long time and I don't think I've ever used it before!

The design papers were also waaaayyyyyy down near the bottom of my paper drawer, goodness knows how long I have had those in my stash.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Summer Soul paper pad (Fancy Pants Designs)
  • Ready Set Go paper pad (Amy Tangerine)
  • Tea Time die (Tim Holtz)
  • Tea Dye distress ink (Tim Holtz)

  • Doily (Recollections)

SoSS #158 - Upcycle

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!

Hope everything is well in your socially isolated corner of the world.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers.

Not sure about you, but I am sure glad I have crafting to occupy some of my time over the past few weeks.

For the Upcycle challenge, Edna wants to see something upcycled on your project, maybe something that was not originally crafty, or an upcycled theme to your project.

At the time I made this ATC for the challenge, (April 8) we were in week 4 of social isolation and my ATC pretty much reflects how I feel about people who are not abiding by social distancing.

My upcycle piece is the background of the ATC which was originally part of a tissue box. The piece on the left in the picture shows what it looked like originally.

For the background I layered a piece of vellum on the cardboard background, inked up the embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug.

Shite I used to make this ATC:

  • ATC background (tissue box)
  • Hexagon embossing folder (SU)
  • Mustard Seed distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Paper Dolls (Tim Holtz)
  • Film Strip Ribbon (Tim Holtz)
  • Apha Cards (Tim Holtz)
  • Small Talk Snarky sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
  • Stapler
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with our reigning Queen of Snark and the rest of the sisterhood!

Take good care, stay safe and be well. 💓

Jingle Belles - Have Yourself a Very Vintage Christmas

Greetings and salutations crafty friends!

Hope you are safe and well in your socially isolated corner of the world!

I am so very grateful to be #safeathome and I am very lucky to have lots of crafty supplies and challenges to keep me busy - when I'm not working of course!!

Today was a not working day, so I thought I would play along with the Have Yourself a Very Vintage Christmas challenge with the super festive gals at Jingle Belles.

I have had this Kringle & Co paper and embellishments in my stash for good few years at least and I think it has a very vintagey feel to it.

The big Christmas tree die cut reminded me of the HUGE trees we had at home growing up (that my dad to this day hangs from the ceiling every year!!).

Never too early to get a start on your Christmas cards right??

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Kringle & Co design paper (American Crafts)
  • Kringle & Co "Bits" die cut cardstock shapes (American Crafts)
  • Small Talk Occasions sentiment Sticker (Tim Holtz)
As mentioned above this card was created for the Have Yourself a Very Vintage Christmas challenge at Jingle Belles.

Take good care, stay safe & be well friends! 💓

Happy Little Stampers - April 2020 ATC Challenge - Make Your Own Background

Greetings & salutations crafty friends!

Hope all is safe and well in your corner of the world.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest ATC challenge from the team at HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS!

Our theme for the month of April is to make your own background.

I had a lot of fun with this one!

I started with a page from an old thesaurus, you can't see it in the finished ATC, but the page I chose was Adversity. I thought it was fitting for where we are at in the world right now, same for the FOCUS ON THE GOOD sentiment sticker.

I inked up the thesaurus page with spritzed distress inks, dried it with the heat gun, added a layer of vellum and ran the whole thing through the cuttlebug in the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Lastly I inked up the edges of the ATC with Peacock Feathers distress ink for a pop of colour.

Shite I used to make this ATC:
  • Cardboard ATC base
  • Thesaurus page
  • Vellum (Recollections)
  • Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Water spritzer (SU)
  • Swiss Dots embossing folder (Provo Craft)
  • I AM - Bits & Pieces (Simple Stories)
  • I AM - Combo Cardstock Stickers (Simple Stories)
  • I AM - Foam Stickers
As always we would love for you to take up the challenge and play along.

You can find all the details on the HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some love & comments with the rest of the ATC team.

Stay safe & be well!
