Christmas Kickstart Challenge - #64 - Show Us Your Snowfolk

I am on a Christmas card making roll...it's a good distraction, which is something I need in this moment.

Did you know that my snarky sister Jo has her very own Christmas challenge blog?

It's awesome and you should totally check it out and play along.

The current challenge is Show Us Your Snowfolk so I knew right away what stamp I wanted to use...my go to all time favourite Tim Holtz sketchy snowman.

Not sure if you can tell in the picture, but I stamped the image on the card base, then on a separate piece which I watercoloured and popped up on foam tape.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Snowman Blueprint stamp and die set (Tim Holtz)
  • India Ink Black ink (Hero Arts)
  • Frayed Burlap, Candied Apple, Lucky Clover, Black Soot and Carved Pumpkin distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Watercolour brush

Jingle Belles - Bling It On

Greetings and salutations crafty friends.

I am trying to make the most of my Christmas in July mojo while it lasts.

I was inspired by the Bling it On challenge at Jingle Belles (who by the way celebrate Christmas ALL YEAR LONG!!).

I got a super fab die from my crafty and lovely pal Deena and thought this would be the prefect challenge to break it in with some shiny metallic papers (which are a bit of a pain in the buttocks to photograph).

I also used black and white shimmer cardstock to up the bling factor - you can't tell in the picture, but I promise it's there :)

Shite I used to make these cards:
  • Black and White shimmer cardstock (Rcollections)
  • Metallic papers (gold, red and green) (Recollections)
  • Peace on Earth die (Elizabeth Craft Designs)

SoSS #215 - M is for Masculine

Greetings friends.

Before we get to the challenge, we have some news to share and we are afraid it is not of the happy sort.

Our beloved friend and sister Lindsey passed away this week.

As a sisterhood, we are heartbroken and devastated.

Many of us have known Lindsey going back to the days of the Drunken Stampers, which was the birthplace of what became the sisterhood of snarky stampers.

If you knew Lindsey, you knew that she was kind, thoughtful and funny.

The world has lost a beautiful and creative soul.

Please join us in sending much love and many hugs to her friends and family as they feel the impact of this loss.

We won't be crowning Queens or Princesses for the last challenge, Christmas in July, or this one.
We know you will understand - our thoughts and hearts are with Lindsey and her family at this time.

While our hearts are not in it...we bring you this challenge - M is for Masculine.

Shite I used to make these cards:
  • Kraft cardstock (Recollections)
  • Monsieur Vintage Illustrations (Pretty Little Studio)
  • Monsieur Word Flashcards (Pretty Little Studio)
  • Monsieur design paper (Pretty Little Studio)
  • Hey Boy designer chipboard stickers (Basic Grey)
  • Design paper and sentiment (unknown)
  • Tickets and gold star from my stash of random things I think I might someday use on a card

A Tiny Craft {ATC} Challenge #11 - Dogs and Cats

Greetings and salutations crafty friends!

Hope all is well in your corner of the world, thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the A TINY CRAFT {ATC} design team.

By the looks of my ATC, you might think we are still celebrating all things Tim Holtz...but our theme is actually Dogs and Cats (I just really really really like Tim Holtz stuff!!!)

The little guy I used on this ATC is one of my favourites, he looks a LOT like my cousin Josh when he was little (his face not his outfit lol).

Shite I used to make this ATC:
  • Cardboard ATC base
  • Paper Stash Menagerie design paper (Tim Holtz)
  • Paper Dolls (Tim Holtz)
  • Burlap Kit (layered accents - Tim Holtz)
  • Frayed Burlap distress ink (Tom Holtz)
  • Mini ink blender (Tim Holtz)
  • Enamel dot (not Tim Holtz)
  • Foam tape (also not Tim Holtz)
As always we would love for you to play along with us...you can find all the details for the challenge on the A TINY CRAFT {ATC) BLOG.

While you are there please share some love and comments with the rest of the design team!

SoSS #214 - C is for Christmas (in July)

Greetings and holiday salutations snarky pals!

Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers (like most challenge blogs this time of year) are celebrating Christmas in July and we'd love for you to meet us under the tree to join in on the celebrations!

It's never too early to break out some Christmas or holiday craft supplies to get a head start on your cards.

Don't celebrate Christmas? Coolio!! Show us what you celebrate in the winter season!

I went to one of my go-to favourite stamp sets - which someone gifted me - one of my snarky sisters if I recall correctly...

Shite I used to make this card:
  • Kraft cardstock (Recollections)
  • Oh Dear stamp set (Simon Says Stamp / Kelly Purkey)
  • Whip Cream ink (Fun Stampers Journey)
