Shopping Our Stash #430 - On Trend - Slimline

Greetings and salutations crafty friends!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

Seems like everyone is making slimline cards recently - there are even dies and stencils specifically designed for them.

So we are jumping on the bandwagon and making slimline cards for this challenge.

Meh - I could take or leave them (ya it was me that picked the challenge theme LOL).
I don't really like making this size of card, maybe it's the cheapness in me that thinks this is a colossal waste of paper for the sake of fitting a card in a cheaper envelope...I don't get it...anywho...it was my bright idea...so I made one...here it is:

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Oh Happy Day design paper (Simple Stories)
  • Oh Happy Day Bits and Pieces (Simple Stories)
  • Scalloped border punch (Fiskars)
  • Foam dots (Dollar Tree)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the crew.

Jingle Belles - Dashing Through the Snow

In an ongoing effort to use up some of my crafting stash, I made three cards for the DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW challenge at Jingle Belles.

I used a card kit from December 2014 featuring the "Jingle All The Way" collection by Echo Park.

There are lots of snowdudes in the background paper, several snow mentions on the sentiment piece on the one card and a bigger snowdude on the card with the red cardstock.

Shite I used to make these cards:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Red and black cardstock (Hollo's Papercraft)
  • Jingle All The Way design paper (Echo Park)
  • Bling (Michael's)
  • Foam tape (Dollar Tree)

Shopping Our Stash #428 - Colour Challenge

Greetings crafty friends!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

CHRIS is our host this week and she has selected a gorgeous colour palette for us to work with.

We want to see at least three of the colours in this inspiration photo in your project:

Here's what I made for the challenge, a few generic cards to add to my stash:

Hard to see in that picture, but there is a popped up section on the left, I tried to match up the pattern, but you can see a bit where it looks a bit separate.

Shite I used to make these cards:

  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • The Yellow Door design paper (Fancy Pants)
  • The Yellow Door tags and labels (Fancy Pants)
  • Twine (Fancy Pants)
  • Scallop punch (SU)
  • Enamel heart (stash item)
  • Foam tape & dots (Dollar Tree)
