SoSS #216 - O is for Old

Greetings & salutations snarky pals.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

We are celebrating all things OLD (people or stuff).

Edna looks like she has found a super cool vintage junk shop...I want to join her there!!

I went with old people and a snarky sentiment from my man Tim Holtz.

I practiced my layered stenciling with this super cool "create in quads" stencils that were part of the March Crop & Create card making event.

The more I use those blending brushes (thanks Michelle!!!) the more I like stenciling and blending.

With the quad stencils you create 4 different card fronts at once...how awesome is THAT??

The sentiment sticker is covering a wee spot where I tore the stenciled layer....meh...LOL...that's probably (maybe) where I would have put the sentiment anyway.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Create in Quads - Hexagon Layering Stencil (Taylored Expressions)
  • Peacock Feathers, Fossilized Amber and Mowed Lawn distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Watering Can archival ink (Ranger)
  • Blending brushes
  • Snarky Big Talk sentiment (Tim Holtz)
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the sisterhood.

A Tiny Craft {ATC} Challenge #12 - An Ode To Lindsey

Greetings and salutations friends.

As you may know, we lost a dear friend and team member last month.

Our lovely, kind, wonderful and amazing Lindsey.

Our ATC's for this challenge are an ode to Lindsey - we would love for you to play along and find something that inpires you on Lindsey's blog.

I used her last project as my inspiration, you can see it HERE or on the Stamp n Scrap Canada blog HERE

Lindsey was the Queen of CAS, cuteness, ink blending and puns...I tried my best to reflect that in my little ATC.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • Cardboard ATC base
  • Prickly Pear stamp and die set (CTMH)
  • Slang Gang stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • India Black Ink (Hero Arts)
  • Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Ink blending brushes
  • Fandango Pink, Forest Green, Stone Grey and Yellow Blaze markers (Bic)
We hope you will play along with us to honour and pay homage to our friend and teammate Lindsey.

L is for Lindsey

Greetings and salutations friends.

As you may know, we lost one of our dear sisters last month.

Far too early, far too fast, our dear friend and sister Lindsey.

We are still coping with this loss and sending all the love to her family, friends and crafty friends around the world.

In honour of Lindsey, Edna and the Sisterhood are paying tribute with L is for Lindsey.

Whether you knew her or not, we want to see something on your project (and be sure to tell us what it is) that was inspired by Lindsey.

You can check out here blog HERE for some inspiration.

Some of the things about Lindsey that I tried to channel in my card:
  • her love of plants and flowers
  • her skill to make a CAS card
  • her shared love of all things purple
  • her awesome use of dies
  • that she will be forever in my heart

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Purple cardstock (Stampin Up)
  • Daisies Forever layering stencil bundle, stamps and dies (Gina K)
  • India Ink Black ink (Hero Arts)
  • Violet, Leaf Green and Watering Can archival inks (Ranger)
  • Sprout ink (Corcord & 9th)
  • Wilted Violet ink (Tim Holtz)
We would love for you to play along with us and make something inspired by our dear sister Lindsey.
