SoSS #190 - C is for Colourful

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!

Edna is rocking her best tie dye look for the C is for Colourful challenge.

My colourful card started its life as a scrap journal page that I had used to clean off a stencil. I hate wasting paint, so the baby wipe I used to clean the stencil was then used to smoosh on the cardbase to create most of the background.

Next I added the big burlap background stamp (which would you believe I have never used?????) then the images and sentiment and voila...colourful card.

Umbrella man (as I call him) is my ALL TIME favourite Tim Holtz image...I have two of him, this one slightly smaller than the other.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • Journal page card base (SU)
  • Green, yellow, orange, blue acrylic paints (Artist's Series)
  • Baby wipe
  • Bit of Burlap background stamp (Market Street Stamps)
  • Purely Random stamp set (Tim Holtz)
  • Turquoise Gem chalk ink (Versa Magic)
  • Small Talk Snarky sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along!

SoSS #189 - X is for Xposed

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!
Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers.
Edna is looking va va va VOOOOOOM for the X is for Xposed theme isn't she??

Here's that I made for the challenge, in the original image (printed on photopaper) her hair was purple. I love purple hair, but wanted it black for the card so I used acrylic paint (after failing with a Sharpie) to change the colour of her hair.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • Black cardstock (SU)
  • Cherry design paper (CTMH)
  • Digital Rockabilly image
  • Sentiment sticker (Krissyanne Designs)
  • Paper piercer and mat (SU)
  • Fine tip Sharpie
  • Midnight Black acrylic paint (The Arts Factory)
  • Small paintbrush
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge

I am very much enjoying making some spooky Halloween cards to play along with the Two Old Bats Halloween Challenges.

Their monthly theme for July is Just Anything Halloween...easy enough right?

I have a bag of miscellaneous Halloween crafty stash, I broke that open to make this card...but...I have NO idea who made the design paper or punch out embellishments...if you recognize it, please let me know.

After Halloween last year my mum picked me up this "Creep It Real" sentiment stamp, perfect fit for this card...thanks mum!

Shite I used to make this card:
  • Black cardstock (SU)
  • Design paper and punch out embellishments (??)
  • Black Soot ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Versamark ink
  • White embossing powder (Recollections)
  • Creep It Real sentiment stamp (Recollections)
  • White paint pen (Artistro)
I would like to enter this card for Just Anything Halloween at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge.
