We hope you have been practicing your very best Kermit the frog singing voice - our challenge for you this week is The Rainbow Connection. Click HERE if you have no idea what I am talking about.

That means we want to see a rainbow, or rainbow colours on your project, frog not necessary - but certainly encouraged!

I don't even think I own a frog stamp, so I went with the next best thing - naturally - an alpaca!

SoSS # 180 - Z is for Zoom Meetings

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from EDNA AND THE SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS!

Edna has clearly gotten into the swing of working remotely and using Zoom for meetings.

I've participated in my (more than??) fair share of work related zoom meetings over the past year, minimally one, but sometimes as many as four per day - it's exhausting! And I think I have a permanent dent in my head from my headphones!

Lots of funny things can happen during Zoom meetings, random people you don't know coming into the meeting, people turning into cats, people showing more or less than they should be in the meeting, pets and children spontaneously appearing, weirdly inappropriate background noise...and you get an insight into the homes of your co-workers...unless they use one of those blurry or fake backgrounds.

My least favourite kind of ANY meeting is one that could have been taken care of with an email instead of a meeting...sigh...not a good use of time...so that's what I based my project on for the challenge.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • Black cardstock (SU)
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Chevron design paper (Recollections)
  • Walter stamp (Riley and Company)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Polaroid frame die (Paper Smooches)
  • Small Talk Snarky sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
  • Washi tape
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with our reigning Queen of Snark and the rest of the sisterhood!

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #48 - Green Christmas

Our lovely pal Jo has invited the sisterhood of snarky stampers to be guest elves on the latest Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

You can see the card I made for the Green Christmas challenge HERE.

While I had the Gnome for the Holidays - Christmas stuff still out on my desk, I made another card for the challenge with some of the pieces of paper I had already cut - funny how that works and they just  come together!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock
  • Gnome for the Holidays - Christmas design paper (PhotoPlay)
As noted, I am entering the card into the Christmas Kickstart Challenge #48 - Green Christmas

Shopping Our Stash #440 - Oh The Places We'll Go

Greetings and salutations crafty friends, hope all is well and safe in your corner of the planet!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

It's been a long year of lockdowns and stay at home orders, we haven't been able to move about and travel perhaps as we usually would or would like to.

For this challenge we want you to show us what you'll be doing or where you'll be going after the pandemic.

Easy peasy for me, as soon as the weather warms up even a little I want to get out camping in our little travel trailer (I might have been checking out spring campsite options this past weekend...shhhhhhhhh).

Camping is my happy place, all day / all night campfires, sitting out under the stars, watching raccoons steal food from other campers, the fresh air...I just love it!!

I grew up camping with my family, every summer you would find us at Algonquin Provincial Park, some of my very best and lifelong friends I met camping! I am definitely a happy camper!

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Happy Trails design paper (Simple Stories)
  • Happy Trails combo cardstock stickers (Simple Stories)
  • Happy Trails bits and pieces (Simple Stories)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along!

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the crew!

Jingle Belles - Merry Sketch-mas

Greetings and salutation crafty pals!

I actually found a wee bit of mojo today and made a card for something other than one of my two design teams!! YAY me!!

One of the advantages of working remotely over the past year (other than not having to get dressed or drive to my office) is that my work space is also my craft room - what better way to spend a lunch hour than getting crafty (or at least picking challenges to work on later).

Stephanie designed this fab sketch for the Jingle Belles Merry Sketch-mas challenge:

And here is what I made based on the sketch:

I did make another card first, but I totally missed the circle part of the sketch...soooooooo....I'll use that for something else...LOL

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Fa La La design paper and ephemera (Bella Blvd)
  • 2.5" circle punch (SU)
Now that I have a card with a circle that more closely matches the sketch, I will enter this into the Jingle Belles Merry Sketch-mas challenge!
