SoSS #113 - O is for Over the Hill

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Poor ole Edna...she has crested the hilltop and is headed down the other side...I can empathize with feeling O is for Over the Hill

Edna's challenge to you is to make a project that represents someone who is...well...let's just say experienced at life shall we??

Hmmmmm I think I may have to be careful about who I give this card to...I am sure not everyone appreciates it's snarkiness...ha ha ha ha...of course that only makes it THAT much better!

Believe it or not, this is the FIRST time I have cracked open and used this particular stamp set from Paper Issues.

It has so many snarky birthday sentiments, it was perfect for this challenge!

Sadly I think the set has been discontinued because there was a spelling mistake in one of the stamps (oooops).

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Black cardstock (Recollections)
  • Smoky Slate cardstock (SU)
  • Hexagon embossing folder (SU / Sizzix)
  • Oval dies
  • Fishtail / Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Walter stamp (Riley & Co)
  • Ahh Real Birthday stamp set (Paper Issues)
As always we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

Shopping Our Stash # 358 - Summer Colour Challenge

Greetings & salutations crafty pals!!

Thanks for coming by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

CHRIS is our host this week and she has selected this fab summer colour challenge:

As soon as I saw it I thought, oooohhhhhhh I have some pretty design paper with almost all of those colours in it!!

It's super old design paper from Stampin Up...so old that I no longer have any recollection what it was called.

I added the butterflies to add the missing colours from the palette.

For some reason I decided to hand stitch all the way around the card instead of doing it with a marker like I usually do...it took me almost as long to remember how to use the needle threader as it did to stitch the card.

This card will be off in the mail shortly to my bestie who has a birthday in a week's time. She will appreciate the sacrifice of my eye sight for her benefit he he he

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Design paper (SU)
  • Sentiment Sampler stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Frayed Burlap and Blueprint Sketch distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Mini ink blender tool (Tim Holtz)
  • Paper piercer and mat (SU)
  • Butterfly punch (SU)
  • Orange thread (dollar store sewing kit)
  • Fishtail & Banner die set (your Next Stamp)
  • Bling (Michaels)
As always we would love for you to join our crew and play along.
