SoSS #94 - Pink Halloween

Greetings snarky pals!!

It's that time of year again!

Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers are resurrecting one of our favourite annual challenges...PINK HALLOWEEN

Admittedly, I struggle with this one every year, I love Halloween and I love pink...but I just can't seem to mesh them together in a cohesive way.

Here's what I came up with for the challenge this year:

Shite I used to made this card:
  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Pink cardstock (Recollections)
  • Colour Chaos design paper (Bella Blvd.)
  • Chalkboard washi tape (dollar store)
  • Tuxedo Black in (Memento)
  • Falling for You stamp set and die (Paper Smooches)
  • Occasions sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
As always, we would love for you to play along with us.
You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG

Shopping Our Stash #322 - Not Your Momma's Card

Greeting friends!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the newest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

This week MIMI is at the helm and she is breaking out the snark!! Woot Woot!

We want to see your...ahem...slightly inappropriate projects...maybe something you wouldn't give to your momma.

I was lucky enough to be gifted some Hipster images by my teammie Barb and I thought that the slightly peeved look on the bird's face was a good match for my chosen sentiment.

That and I found a bird's nest in my back yard the day I made this card and used it for the photo...kinda like it was meant to be right???

If you know me, you will know I am NOT a fan of birds, but a snarky, cranky bird...now that's the bird for me!!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Hipster image (Tim Holtz)
  • Say It Like It Is stamp set (dylusions)
  • Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Old Paper, Fired Brick and Broken China distress markers (Tim Holtz)
  • Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Fired Brick and Broken China distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Tiles, Doily and Bubbles stencils (Tim Holtz)
  • Water brush (Tim Holtz)
  • Mini ink blender tool (Tim Holtz)
  • Paper piercer and mat (SU)
  • Fine tip Sharpie
As always we would love for you to join our crew and play along with us.

SoSS #93 - Lost and Found

Happy Saturday snarky pals!!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

This time around we want you to get lost...and found!

What have you got in your stash that you haven't used in a long time, if at all??? What techniques used to be your go to??

For me, what was lost was my love of colouring, what was found were all my super cute but sadly unused stamps from the Greeting Farm - mostly because they needed to be coloured!

Here's what I came up with for the challenge:

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Mermaid stamp (The Greeting Farm)
  • Sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  •  Key Lime, Peach Parfait, Hot Aqua, Rambunctious Red, Sunset Orange Mark It markers (Bic)
  • Bubble stencil (Tim Holtz)
  • Paper piercer and mat (SU)
  • Fine tip Sharpie
As always we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along with us!

Shopping Our Stash #320 - Emboss Like a Boss

Greetings friends!!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

This week we want you to emboss like a boss - that means we want to see both dry and wet (heat) embossing on your project!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

I used three embossing folders on my card, though I am not really sure it was worth embossing the owl's belly or tree branch.

My most favourite junior kindergartner is turning 4 at the end of this month and this will be her birthday card.

I mean really - look at that face, ugh...I have ALL the loves for her!!!! She is soooooo smart and soooooo sassy!! Just like her Auntie Donna (ok and maybe a little like her mum)

Here's what I made for the challenge:

Shite I used to make this card:

  • Kraft & pink cardstock (Recollections)
  • Small heart, owl & bird punches (SU)
  • Early Espresso cardstock (SU)
  • Happy Birthday and woodgrain embossing folders (Provo Craft)
  • Lattice embossing folder (SU)
  • Fishtail & Banners dies (Your Next Stamp)
  • Versmark ink
  • White embossing powder (Recollections)
  • Sentiment Sampler stamp set (Paper Smooches)
As always we would love for you to take up the challenge and join our crew.

Shopping Our Stash #319 - On Trend

Greetings friends!!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

This week we are "on trend" that means we want to see something trendy on your project this week - pineapples, metallics, mermaids, flamingos, stars, arrows...whatever you think trendy is!

My "on trend" items are nautical, metallics, stars, arrows and weird geometrical shapes.

I used design paper as my card base, which I rarely do, but like it when I do...I should do it more often!!

The nautical theme probably comes from having just spent a lovely and wonderful ten days on Prince Edward Island...so good for the soul to be close to the ocean...I guess that's what makes me the captain of my own tides!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • I Am design paper and fundamentals cardstock stickers (Simple Stories)
  • Compostion and Colour cardstock stickers (Websters Pages)
  • Arrows embossing folder (SU)
  • Gold cardstock (Recollections)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along with us.

SoSS #92 - J is for Jumble

Greeting snarky pals!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!

Edna has been all jumbled up, and as usual, she would like you to follow suit.

Show us your best jumble (collage) project.

I started with a blank tag and didn't stop until I was pretty much out of room to add anything else.

I really shopped my stash for this one. I pulled embellishments from all over the place in the craft room, some of which I have NO idea what card kit it came from or how I acquired it.

I can share some crafty loves with my sisters on this one though. The pretty flowers were a gift from SISTER CHRIS and the clothes pins were a gift from SISTER JESSI

Shite I used to make this tag:

  • Vanilla tag (Recollections)
  • Wilted Violet, Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Phrases I stamp set (Tim Holtz)
  • Bubble stencil (Tim Holtz)
  • Mini ink blender tool (Tim Holtz)
  • Doily (Recollections)
  • Filmstrip ribbon (Tim Holtz)
  • Stapler
  • Gold heart brads
  • Miscellaneous embellishments (camera, heart, banner, number 3)
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.
