SoSS #149 - Y is for Yummy

Greetings & salutations snarky friends!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!

This time of year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas (and Jason Momoa) there are soooooo many yummy things to enjoy - so that's what we are celebrating...all things yummy!

Two of my favourite yummies are a good cuppa tea (chai latte maybe??) and a donut from one of the awesome local bakeries in my area (Grandad's Donuts, Hamilton, Ontario, if you are ever here you gotta go!).

Then for good measure and balance I tossed on a snarky sentiment...ya....Ew, people. Not all people, but some people, some people are very Ew.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (The Paper Studio)
  • Kraft cardstock (Recollections)
  • Treat Your Self paper pack (The Paper Studio)
  • Perfect Blend stamp set (SU)
  • Black Soot distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Snarky Small Talk sentiment sticket (Tim Holtz)
  • Paper piercer & mat (SU)
  • Fine tip Sharpie

As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

Shopping Our Stash #409 - So Thankful

Greetings and salutations crafty pals!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

Your truly is the host this week and our theme is "So Thankful"...that means we want to see something related to Thanksgiving, being thankful or a thank you somewhere on your project.

Here in Canada, Thanksgiving was in October, so I chose to focus on a few (of the many) things I am most thankful for...

Those include...family, friends, where and who I come from, where I call home, a job that keeps a roof over my head and my family fed, the freedom to visit other parts of the world...those who fought to protect all of the things I am thankful for...I have so much privilege that I take for granted on a daily basis.

Not sure if you can see it very well in the picture, but I hand stitched the orange paper piece towards the bottom,  maybe should have used a different colour thread...anywho...

Shite I used to make this card:

  • Kraft cardstock (Recollections)
  • My Favorite Fall design paper, frames & tags, element stickers (Echo Park)
  • Paper piercer and mat (SU)
  • Needle and white thread
  • Stapler
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along!

As I am sure you can imagine...this challenge is exactly what the sisterhood is all about...a witty, snarky, clever remark...ya, we are full of those!

SoSS #147 - T is for Tea

Greetings & salutations snarky pals!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!

You may (or may not) know that I am a total tea granny! It is my go to beverage ALL year round!

I also learned a brand new (to me) tea reference at work quite recently...

Now keep in mind, I am super old...and totally the squarest nerd you will ever meet...but I am lucky enough to work with a lot of young people who know "the tea"...which I have recently learned means gossip or details or a juicy piece of information.

So NOW when I hear them say "spill the tea" I know they are referring to an interesting piece of info, not a tragic beverage incident...(yes they make fun of me, and I am OK with that)

I am also a little obsessed (ok maybe a LOT obsessed) with making CAS chalkboard cards at the moment, so I tried to combine the two...here's what I came up with:

Thanks to my snarky sisters, I now know there is a line of snarky Tim Holtz sentiment stickers (YAY!!)

Shite I used to make these cards:

  • Black cardstock (gift from my crafty pal Christa)
  • Red cardstock (Recollections)
  • Whip Cream ink (Fun Stampers Journey)
  • Fresh Brewed Blueprint stamp set (Tim Holtz)
  • Small Talk Snarky sentiment stickers (Tim Holtz)
  • Pencil eraser
As always, we would love for you to join us for a cuppa and play along!
