Shopping Our Stash #403 - It's a Charmed Life

Greetings and salutations crafty pals!!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

Chris is our host for the challenge and our theme is It's a Charmed Life.

That means we want to see a charm of some sort on your project.

I used a crown charm that I picked up at Scrapfest about 100 years ago and the playing card is courtesy of my bridge playin' momma - she is a rockstar for bringing me home decks of cards to use!

The Meh design paper is gold, the weird colouring you see on it is me, well my reflection...I hate trying to get a good photo of shiny paper!

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Paper Studio)
  • Black cardstock (Recollections)
  • Queen of Clubs (my momma)
  • Crown charm (from my stash)
  • Punderful paper pad (Recollections)
  • Favourite Thoughts stamp set (SU)
  • Whip Cream ink (Stampers' Journey)
  • Fishtail / Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.
You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the crew!

SoSS #142 - V is for Violent

Greetings snarky pals!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from EDNA AND THE SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS

Yours truly is hosting the challenge and our theme is:

V is for Violent

I wanted something that at first glance is all cute and sparkly, but then there's a (not so subtle) violent threat thrown in for good measure.

I can think of a few people I would stab with a caticorn given the chance...just sayin'...anywho...I digress...

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (The Paper Studio)
  • Caticorn die cut (Recollections)
  • Stay Magical design paper (Craft Smith)
  • Small heart punch (SU)
  • Computer generated sentiment
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You will find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with our reigning queen of snark and of course the rest of the sisterhood!

Shopping Our Stash #402 - Gone Fishin'

Greetings crafty pals!!

Thanks for visiting today to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

The lovely and talented MiMi is our host and our theme is Gone Fishin'

That means we want to see something fishy (ha ha ha) on your project.

I used a round-ish shaped stamp block covered in Peacock Feathers ink and water spritzed to make the water background.

Now that I see my coloured in fish, I think they should be on an episode of The Simpsons!

This picture seriously disappoints me, the fishies are so much brighter and colourful IRL...but after about 15 pictures, I gave up.....sigh...

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (The Paper Studio)
  • Birthday Buddies stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Peacock Feathers & Black Soot distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Yellow Blaze, Hot Aqua, Key Lime, Sunset Orange, Fandango Pink markers (Bic)
  • Water spritzer (SU)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along!

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the crew.

SoSS #141 - R is for RIP

Greetings and salutations my snarky crafty friends!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Sister Lindsey is our host for the challenge and our theme is R is for RIP.

This is one of those challenges that could be interpreted a number of different ways...as you will see when you check out the projects of the sisterhood.

I thought of something with Edna and muscles (ripped)...but NOPE...I ended up going with torn paper which is WAHAY more within my scope of crafty capacity.

Or...maybe I was looking for an excuse to use one of these Fabulous Life Cards I bought yesterday on a quick outing across the border....hmmmmmmm

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (The Paper Studio)
  • Oh Happy Day - Orange/Pink design paper (Simple Stories)
  • Miscellaneous scrap of polka dot design paper of unknown origin
  • Fabulous Life Cards (Authentique)
  • Rhinestone stickers (Michaels)
As always we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along!!

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some crafty comments and lovin' with our reigning Queen of Snark and the rest of the sisterhood!
