Shopping Our Stash #369 - Quit Buggin' Me

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH.

This week our theme is "Quit Buggin' Me"

That means we want to see a bug or insect of some sort on your project.

In a continued effort to shop my stash, I used a card kit from April 2016 that I remembered had some butterfly paper and pieces in it.

There are actually a lot of butterflies on the card, but they might be a wee bit camouflaged by all the other stuff I layered on top!!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Summer Red Raspberry Soup design paper, labels, stickers and pea pod parts (Jillibean Soup)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the crew!

Greetings crafty friends!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out this week's challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

This week MIMI is our host and our theme is Hot Hot Hot.

That means we want to see something hot themed on your project - could be weather related, cooking, spicy food...your choice!

Since we are in the midst of a humid heat wave here in Southern Ontario, I went with temperature and the best place to head in the heat?? The beach!!

  • Summer Vibes chipboard stickers & tidbits (Simple Stories)
  • Summer cardstock sticker (Sandylion)

SoSS #116 - Denim

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the newest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!

We think that Edna is suffering from some 90's flashbacks...that is a LOT of denim going on there!!

Nonetheless, she rocks it for an old bird!!

Some time ago, my favourite denim skirt was becoming incredibly threadbare and holey around the bottom (so much to that it was no longer appropriate to wear outside the house).

Of course I couldn't bear to just throw it away, so I cut it high enough to remove the hem and most of the holey bits.

I couldn't bring myself to throw the denim scraps out either...because, you know...I might be able to use them on a crafty project some day...well...today is THAT day!

Here's the ATC I made with my denim scraps:

Please note that I am under no illusions about what makes my ass look fat...it's not the jeans...it's the ass!

Shite I used to make this ATC:
  • ATC base (cut from an old cereal box)
  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Denim scraps (courtesy of my wardrobe)
  • Alphabet stamp set (Studio G)
  • Faded Jeans distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Mini ink blender tool (Tim Holtz)
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You will find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there, please share some loves and comments with the rest of the sisterhood and of course our reigning queen!

Shopping Our Stash #366 - Sihouettes

Greetings crafty friends!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out this week's challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

This week ALICA is our host and our theme is silhouettes.

I may have gone to see my most favourite musical recently, and was inspired to base my card on it (that and I don't have many silhouette stamps).

If you are not a familiar with WICKED, it is the story of the witches of OZ before Dorothy came to town (based on the book by Gregory Maguire).

This is my Elphaba / Defying Gravity inspired silhouette card:

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Black cardstock (Recollections)
  • All Hallows Eve stamp set (Inkadinkado)
  • Alphabet Stamp Set (Studio G)
  • Oval die (Sizzix)
  • Post it note (for mask)
  • Twisted Citron distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Water spritser (SU)
  • Mini ink blender (Tim Holtz)
  • Paper piercer & mat (SU)
