SoSS #102 - F for Farm Life

Greetings snarky pals!! Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from the sisterhood of snarky stampers!!

Looks like Edna is making herself quite at home among the bovine and swine as she experiences farm life.

As usual, she has convinced the sisterhood to join her.

I am not sure how long I have had this stamp set, but it's for sure the first time I have inked it up.

My wee bovine has not yet quite mastered the fine art of the selfie (unlike myself who is the ultimate queen of selfies).

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Black cardstock (Recollections)
  • Hello Neighbour design paper (SU)
  • Chubby Chums stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Picked Raspberry distress marker (Tim Holtz)
  • Water brush (Tim Holtz)
  • Mini ink blender tool (Tim Holtz)
  • Fishtail / Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

Shopping Our Stash #338 - Birthday

Greetings crafty pals!

Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH and it's a gooden...this week we are celebrating birthdays.

Dontchya just love it when a challenge comes at the perfect time?

I mean you can never really have TOO many birthday cards in your stash, but I have a particular need for masculine birthday cards this month, of which, I never have enough!!

This card will be heading out in the mail soon to my cousin who has a birthday at the end of the month.

I usually like to make him really rude cards, but I've been told that the F word is out now that his daughter can read...sheesh...some people are just no fun!

So here's his profanity-free-manly-birthday-for-a-dude card.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • Black cardstock and design paper (Recollections)
  • Walter stamp (Riley & Co)
  • Sentiment Sampler stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

  • Daffodil Delight cardstock (SU)
  • Design paper (SU)
  • Scripty Hello die (Lawn Fawn)
  • Year Four stamp and die set (Lawn Fawn)

  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)

SoSS #101 - T is for Technique

Greetings friends!!

Happy new year from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!!

We are starting off the new year with T is for Technique - try something new to you or an show us an old faithful.

Be sure to tell us what your technique is and how you did it!!

I used an ACRYLIC BATIK technique, which not only have I never done, I've never even heard of it before!!

You can find a tutorial HERE

Basically you heat emboss a background with clear emboss powder, then drip / drizzle paints over it and then scrape them off.

It made a good mess which was fun, but I found my three colours just mooshed together rather then getting the different colours like in the tutorial....ah well...was still fun to try and I hadn't used that big background stamp in ages!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Print Pattern background stamp (SU)
  • Clear emboss powder (Ranger)
  • Heat gun (Marvy)
  • Versamark ink
  • Broken China, Seedless Preserves and Spun Sugar distress paints (Tim Holtz)
  • Wondering Midge and sentiment stamps (Riley & Co.)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
As always we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there please leave some crafty loves and comments for our reigning queen and the rest of the sisterhood!

Shopping Our Stash #336 - Out With The Old & In With The New

Greetings & Happy New Year crafty friends!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

We are ringing in 2018 by celebrating what is old and not so old in our stash (and be sure to tell us what it is!)

I think Lovely as a Tree might have been one of the very first stamp sets I ever bought, it's not even the clear mounted one!!

I like to rock it old school with my wood mount SU stamps ha ha ha ha

I need to add a few more masculine birthday cards to my stash, so I decided to focus on that for this challenge.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Fireworks)
  • Early Espresso cardstock (SU)
  • Lovely as a Tree stamp set (SU)
  • Sentiment Sampler stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Mowed Lawn and Ground Espresso distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Water spritzer (SU)
  • Mini ink blender (Tim Holtz)
  • Post it notes (for the masking rectangle)
I take zero credit for the design of this card. I saw it online and liked it and wanted to CASE it. Here is a LINK to the inspiration for my card.

As always we would love for you to join our crew and play along.
