A Tiny Craft (ATC) Challenge #1

Greetings and salutations crafty friends!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the very first challenge from the ATC (A Tiny Craft) design team!!

Our theme for the month of August is anything goes.

Pretty easy right??

If you are not sure what an ATC (Artist Trading Card) is...here's a super brief description:

An ATC can be a card or a coin.

Cards are 3.5 x 2.5" and coins are 2.5" in diameter.

That's it!

Other than the size, you can create / decorate them anyway you like!

I really had a lot of fun making this one, I started by painting the ATC base red, then masked to do layers of white and blue, used my stylus to make the dots on the flag (my eyesight is NOWHERE near good enough to have painted tiny stars), then I sanded it to distress it, added the paper dolls and sentiment and voila!

Here's what I made for the very first ATC challenge:

Shite I used to make this ATC:
  • Cardboard ATC base
  • Red, white and blue acrylic paint (Artist's Series)
  • Paper Dolls (Tim Holtz)
  • Small Talk Occasions sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
  • Sanding block (SU)
We would love for you to come check out the ATC challenge blog and play along with us!
You can find all the details for the challenge, our rules and meet the rest of the design team at the ATCCB  (A Tiny Craft Challenge Blog).

While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the design team!

SoSS #191 - F is for F Words

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!
Hope all is well and safe in your corner of the world...thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers.

Edna has been practicing her alphabet and today is brought to you by the letter F.
That means we want to see an F word, any F word, not necessarily THAT F word on your project.

I had seen this design on a mug, and when I saw it I knew I wanted to use it on a card. How perfect that this challenge was F words?? Thanks Edna!

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • I AM design paper (Simple Stories)
  • Cricut Joy (to diecut the letters)
  • Paper piercer and mat (SU)
  • Fine tip Sharpie
As always we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.
You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

While you are there please share some crafty love and comments with our reigning Queen of Snark and  the rest of the sisterhood.
