Shopping Our Stash # 223 - I Can See Clearly

This week's theme at SHOPPING OUR STASH is "I Can See Clearly"

The SOS crew would like to see acetate somewhere on your card (or you could make a shaker card).

I am completely shaker card impaired, so I used acetate. I like the look of an embossed acetate sheet as the card base, so that's what I did.

It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but the front of the card is embossed with a spider web.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • Acetate sheet (3M)
  • Black and white cardstock (Recollections)
  • Cobwebs embossing folder (Tim Holtz)
  • Trick or Treat stamp set (Inkadinkado)
  • All Hallow's Eve stamp set (inkadinkado)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Basic Black marker (SU)
  • Mini ink blender tool (Tim Holtz)
Yesterday was Thanksgiving for us crazy Canucks....so after I made this awesome Halloween card, I made a set of these super deluxe Thanksgiving cards for my in laws:

Shite I used to make this card:

  • Acetate sheet (3M)
  • Kraft and white cardstock (Recollections)
  • Woodgrain embossing folder (ProvoCraft)
  • #hastags stamp set (Tim Holtz)
  • Frayed Burlap distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Early Espresso ink (SU)
  • Maple Leaf punches (Martha Stewart)
  • Fishtail / Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
Visit the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG for all the details on the challenge and while you are there please show the rest of the crew some crafty lovin!
We'd love for you to play along with us!

Wow, you embosses the acetate. I've never managed to get that to work ... it always tore or cracked. Looks great!

Both cards are awesome. I wanted to make one of these too but of course with Thanksgiving I ran out of time.

Embossing the acetate is brilliant! And so much better than making a shaker card. ;) And ooh, I have that cobweb embossing folder! Both cards are terrific.

Holy crow, not only did you make two amazing cards that use acetate as the card base, but you embossed them also! I bow to your genius!
