Here's what I came up with:
Drunken Stampers #94 - Happy National Hamburger Day!!!
Neither did I!!! It's also National Milk Chocolate Day!
This week's Drunken Stampers Challenge is to make a card to celebrate either National Hamburger Day or National Milk Chocolate Day.
Here's a link to the Drunken Stampers blog so you can play along with us: http://drunkenstampers.wordpress.com
Be sure to check out the cards from the rest of the design team while you are there!!!
I chose to go with National Hamburger Day....and mine is veggie :)
I topped my hamburger with tomato, cheese, lettuce and onion....and of course a hamburger feels lonely without some fries, so I made some of those too.
To make the hamburger I used the some of my SU punches
- extra large oval punch for the burger patty & buns
- scallop punch for the lettuce
- 1 3/8 circle punch for the tomato
- 1 3/8 square punch for the cheese
- 1 3/8 & 1 1/4 circle punch for the onions
To make the french fries, I cut strips of 1/2 cardstock and ran it through the paper crimper
The tablecloth is a patterned paper napkin - it was a bit tricky to cut with the paper trimmer as the paper is so thin
This week's challenge marks the last for this term of the Drunken Stampers Challenges. There is a Design Team call for the next round of challenges. Apply by July 31 if you are interested, it's a fun team to participate on!! Here's the link:

Wild Card Wednesday - July 18, 2012
I cut the four cameras from the reverse side of the DP
I also used Charcoal twine from The Twinery between the two Bead Landing Bamboo Tiles
(and added a piece of the DP to each tile)
The letters are Thickers letters, I used half a U to make the smile of the smiley face
Owl wedding shower...
Used the same papers we used for Alley's wedding invitations (gable green, black and whisper white).
Used a little bling to make the tiara across the top of her veil and on his bow tie.
Bat ATCs
LOVE LOVE LOVE
anything to do with Halloween...witches...bats...skulls...
So when I saw this ATC swap on Swap-Bot, I knew I had to join :)
I used a page from DH's theaurus (I am getting good crafty use from that book!!) and some SU Halloween themed DP that I have had for a while.
Added the moon, heat embossed the "spooky" and added the bat punch outs and voila....bat themed ATC ready for trading.
Less than a month to go...
Katie asked me to make some tags for the martini glasses for the bachelorette...here's what I came up with...
Thanks for lookin!!
Baby V
On of our Youth Workers is expecting her first baby towards the end of August.
We're having a baby shower for her at work this week and I was asked to make a card.
We don't know if Baby V is going to be a boy or a girl yet....so I wanted to stick with gender neutral colours, but added the pink and blue buttons just for fun.
Bazzill Basics cardstock (orange and light blue)
American Crafts cardstock (green)
American Crafts Blue Skies Ribbon
Green Glitter Thickers
Favourite Findings Mini Shaped Buttons
Versa Magic Multi Surface Dew Drop Chalk Inkpad - Pink Grapefruit
and
Technique Tuesday "The Weather Report" stamp set
The only item that wasn't from the card kit - SU Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment
Drunken Stampers #93 - Christmas in July

For my card for this challenge I wanted to make a snowman on the beach enjoying a fruity drink (we are after all the DRUNKEN Stampers). Isn't that where snowmen go in the summer?? To the beach??? I guess they just have to drink fast so their ice cubes don't melt (hee hee).
The snowman's hands are two pieces of the SU snowflake punch
For the sun, I used the SU 1 3/4" scallop punch, offset the scallop and punched it twice to get the pointy edges.
The snowman was made from SU circle punches (2 1/2", 1 3/4" and 1 1/4")
I tore and inked three pieces of kraft paper to make the beach and used scalloped scissors on three pieces of inked marina mist CS for the waves and inked the sky with marina mist ink.
The fruity drink is from the SU retired set "Cheers to You"
Thanks for lookin!!

Wild Card Wednesday - KISS - July 11, 2012
I think I tend to go a bit overboard sometimes in making cards, too many layers, too many embellishments...so...my challenge to you this week is to Keep It Simple Sister!! Make a card with no stamps or ink...
Here's what I came up with using the July card kit, everything you see here came with the kit other than the white twine:
ATC swaps
This first one is a Steampunk ATC, its off to Marie S in Texas.
All of the embellishments on the ATC (except the buttons) are from Scraptures kits including the Tim Holtz - Ideology Mini Gears which were in the June 2012 card kit and The Girls Paperie On Holiday die cuts which were in the September 2012 scrapbook kit.
Wild Card Wednesday - A Day in Paradise - July 4, 2012
http://www.scraptures.ca/store
Here's the first card I made using this month's kit. I used the 'rock n roll' technique for the yellow / orange in the stamped flowers. My challenge for you this week is to use different colours on an inked image, whether you 'rock n roll' it, colour with markers or use another technique.
Card base - Bazzill Basics Lemon Bliss cardstock
Design paper - Amy Tangerine "Sketchbook" - Harper's Hue
Stamp set - A Day in Paradise - Technique Tuesday
Ribbon - Tangerine Tango pom pom - Stampin' Up!
Inks - Tangerine Tango & Daffodil Delight - Stampin' Up!
Whisper White cardstock - Stampin' Up!
Decorative label punch - Stampin' Up!
