Shopping Our Stash #382 - Washi Washi Washi

Greetings & salutations crafty friends!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

Yours truly is the host this week and our theme is WASHI WASHI WASHI

I don't know about you, but I have sooooooooo much washi tape in my stash and I keep buying more!!!
I think I like collecting it more than using it!

I saw this super cute digital washi Christmas tree card and thought it would be easy enough to replicate with actual washi tape...and it was!!!
So much so that I made 27 of them for the Army Cadet craft show fundraiser I participated in this past weekend.
Even the sentiment is washi tape!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Washi tape (SU, Dollarama, Recollections)
  • Glittery foam star (Recollections)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

Shopping Our Stash #381 - Food or Beverage Inspiration

Greetings crafty pals!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

This week Chris is our host and she has decreed that projects shall be inspired by food or beverage packaging of some sort.

This was an easy one for me, I have empty Tim Horton's cups ALL over the place (I drink far too much tea!!)

I used one of the cups to make the rings in the background and then cut it up to make the die cut cup as well.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Early Espresso cardstock (SU)
  • Kraft cardstock (Recollections)
  • Tim Hortons cup
  • Ground Espresso distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Fresh Brewed die (Tim Holtz)
  • Alphabet stamp set (Studio G)
  • Paper crimper (Fiskars)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

SoSS #123 - H is for Home

Greetings & salutations snarky pals!!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers.

Edna has donned her ruby slippers and is ready to head somewhere over the rainbow...why you ask?? Because there is no place like home of course!

Hence, our challenge theme H is for Home

In an ongoing effort to use some of my stash, I cracked out a card kit from March 2015 to make this card...no snark...but I think it would be a good "thinking of you" kind of card...sometimes we all need a bit of a reminder.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • "I Am" design paper (Simple Stories)
  • "I Am" fundamentals cardstock stickers (Simple Stories)
  • Petite Diction sentiment stickers (Authentique)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Hemp rope
As always, we would love for you to join the sisterhood and play along.

Shopping Our Stash #380 - Tic Tac Toe

Greetings friends, thanks for coming by to check out the latest challenge from the crew at SHOPPING OUR STASH

Mimi is our host this week and she has created a super TIC TAC TOE for the challenge

I went with the middle column, stamps, more than 5 years old and happy birthday...you can never have too many birthday cards in your stash right??!!??

Everything on this card with the exception of the glitter glue on the hat is more than 5 years old (the cardstock, the ink, the stamp set, the sequins).

I drew the border with a ruler and sharpie and I am pleased with how it sets of the image and sentiment.

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Celebrate Blueprint stamp set (Tim Holtz)
  • Sentiment Sampler stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Sequins (Joanns)
  • Ruler
  • Fine tip Sharpie
  • Glitter glue (Dollarama)
As always, we would love for you to join our crew and play along.

  • Chubby Chums & Slan Gang stamp sets (Paper Smooches)

SoSS #122 - F is for....Fantasy

Greetings snarky pals!

Thanks for stopping by today for the latest challenge from Edna and the sisterhood of snarky stampers!

This time around, F is for Fantasy (I know you are surprised THAT is our F word right??!!??)

Edna wants to see your most favourite fantasy beasties on your project...fairies, unicorns, mermaids...or this guy (OK maybe that's just me)

Anywho....back to the challenge.

I am in the midst of making literally  hundreds of holiday cards for an upcoming fundraiser that I am participating in, so my card for the challenge was a pretty quick cut and paste using the "Stay Magical" paper pad by Craft Smith.

The metallic paper around the image takes on a cool reflective effect in the light.

Ok, so I got a little carried away and then made a total of 18 cards - LMAO

Here are a few of my other faves:

Shite I used to make these cards:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Stay Magical paper pad (Craft Smith)
