SoSS #66 - H is for Hounds

Poor old Edna's really gone to the dogs this week...and she's taken the sisterhood with her!

Break out yer pooches and pups...H is for Hounds!!

You would think a "dog person" would have more than three dog stamps...but nope...I don't.

Paper Smooches are my go to animal stamps, they are so flippin cute!!

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Black cardstock (Recollections)
  • Slang Gang stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Chubby Chums stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Sentiment Sampler stamp set (Paper Smooches)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Whisper White ink (SU)
  • Picked Raspberry distress marker (Tim Holtz)
How can I do a hound challenge without showing off the hound of my life??
His name is Mister.
He is an Instagram superstar and even has his own hashtags (I kid you not) #callmemister #misterofinstagram

Mister was rescued on day three from a three day kill shelter in Georgia by Niagara Dog Rescue.
We adopted him last summer.

Super cute right?
Like so many of us, Mister has to depend on his cuteness to get by because he is NOT very brave and he's really NOT a very good hound.
What kind of hound can't sniff out a cookie at ten paces???

We think he's (at least mostly) a black and tan Austrian hound.
Google that, it totally looks like him!

To his credit, he is REALLY REALLY good at finding dead things, or parts of dead things in the garden.
Ya, that's a treat.

Come on now...that face though???

OK enough crazy dog lady, back to the challenge.

Be sure to check out the SoSS BLOG for all the details on the H is for Hounds challenge. As always, we would love for you to play along with us!

While you are there please share some crafty lovin' with the rest of the sisterhood.

Until next time...

Jingle Belles - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

People!!! It's August!!!! Time to kick your Christmas card making into high gear!!!!

I've made about 75 Christmas cards so far and I am planning on making a whack more for a Christmas bazaar I will be attending to support my son's Army Cadet Corps #canadasfinest #armycadets #1626

Jingle Belles challenges are perfect for inspiring Christmas card making when it's 35 degrees celsius outside.

This time around, the challenge is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and cards need to predominantly feature the colour red...reindeer is optional.

Here's one I made for the challenge (OK really I made like 30 of them, but they are all the same sooooooooo...

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Sugar Plums Paper Pack (Recollections)
  • Tag (Recollections)
  • Bling (Dollarama)
Then I made this card as well...ok maybe only 6 of these ones. While they are not predominantly red...there is a LOT of red in there, if you squint and let your eyes go out of focus...all those little dots on the background paper are red like the bigger dot in the centre of the snowflake.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Sugar Plums Paper Pack (Recollections)
Until next time...

SoSS #65 - I is for Inappropriate

Edna and the snarky sisters have clearly been up to no good.

You want to join in.
We know you do.
We dare ya.
We double dog dare ya.

Here's what I came up with for the challenge.

I am feeling this is the first of a collection of inappropriate Christmas cards this year, be forewarned.

I never do up the inside of my cards, but SISTER BARB does and hers always look so awesome, so I am stealing her idea (shhhhhhhh don't tell her)

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Wondering Midge stamp (Riley & Company)
  • Christmas Words stamp set (Dyan Reaveley)
  • Sugar Plums Paper Pack (Recollections)
Check out the SoSS BLOG for all the details on our naughty new challenge I is for Inappropriate.

While you are there please share some crafty lovin' with my snarky sisters and our guest designer.

While I am at it, since I have three Ho's on my card, I am linking up to the We Three Kings challenge over at Jingle Belles.
