I'm still going!!!

OK this is the last card & post for tonight...already past my bedtime!

Here is the Father's Day card for this week's "masculine" themed class.

Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but it's a joy fold, I love all the layers in this type of fold.

The smaller card on top has another layer of white inside, and is stamped with "Happy Father's Day" in black.

The centre yellow tie is stamped twice, the second one cut out and layered, so it's popped up, not sure if you can see that in the picture either...

Anyway, there you have it...

I have an idea for one more card for this week, but it will have to wait til tomorrow...I'm crashin'!

Nighty night...

Poor Poor Gordon...

Poor poor Gordon.

It's thundering here in Southern Ontario tonight.

Gordon is NOT a fan of thunder....neither is Ruby, but she just hops up on the bed and trembles.

Here is Gordon trying to squeeze through a hole {a hole MUCH smaller than he is} between the bathroom and the closet in the spare room.

So far I have not been able to convince him he won't fit through there...let's hope the storm passes quickly.

I'm on a roll today...

This week Jen and I are doing masculine themed cards...for some reason cards for guys are much harder for me to come up with...but I always need just as many (well nearly as many).

My plan (as of now) is to do one masculine birthday card and one Father's Day card...here's the masculine birthday card...

More summer mini sneak peeks

Here are the two cards that Jen made for our summer mini sneak peek class last week.

I love the colour combinations that Jen picked for both of these cards.

Mine may not look 'exactly' like her samples...I am not very good at following instructions {lol}

Alley's wedding samples

Alley and I got together today to make some wedding invitation samples (best way to spend a Sunday!!)

Her colours are black and granny smith apple green (we used SU's gable green). I wasn't too sure on this colour combination at first, but now that I see them together - WOW!

We wanted to somehow incorporate her dragonfly theme into the invitations as well...here's what we came up with today.

Criss cross card (they are so great for wedding invites!!) in black and gable green with a black and white invite card insert.

We embossed the dragonfly and the love sentiment.

Here's the first sample...

Here's the second sample, with black sponged edging - we both decided we liked this one better...

Oh Canada!!

OK, yeah, it's a little early for Canada Day celebrations...

I made these cute little flags from a new stamp from the SU Summer Mini and some sucker sticks that I bought for some crafty purpose and then never used...ya ya...I do that a lot...

Don't mind the dirty cutting mat under the flags, didn't realize how yucky that looks til now...maybe I should clean that!

Summer Mini Sneak Peek - Part II

Here's the second card I made for our Summer Mini Sneak Peek class tonight...

This one features the Pretty Postage stamp set and coordinating punch as well as the cherry cobbler baker's twine.

Thanks for lookin'

Summer Mini Sneak Peek

Next week Jen and I are doing a Summer Mini Sneak Peek class featuring new products from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini.

Here is my first sample, this one uses one of the new triple punches (not sure on those yet) and the baker's twine...

I am still liking the look of the layered embossing - can ya tell????

Hey....remember me????

Wow it's been more than a month since I posted last...I think I had a serious case of no mojo!!

I found a little bit tonight and made this card for the Stampin Canada May 1-1 swap.

I really loved the steampunk ATC's that I made for a swap last month, so I made a full size card version...and a few more ATC's - one for me (duh I didn't keep one for myself in the swap!!) and one for Niblet - cause she's my friendy-friend and she said she liked it...
