Another Ornament Card...

I am really liking the ornament stamp set and co-ordinating punch from Stampin' Up!

Here is the card I made for a "Jump Start Christmas Swap" I hosted on Stampin Canada.

The silver ornament is tin foil that I ran through the cuttlebug (swiss dots folder)...if I was going to do it again, I would use more layers of foil. One layer on cardstock was too fiddly!!

Stamp A Stack

Attended a "Stamp A Stack" with my lovely SU upline ML on October 17th.

Here are the cards we made - I am so far ahead on Christmas cards this year!! YAY!!!

Medallion card

When I ordered this medallion stamp, I really had no idea how BIG it was going to be...I love it!

This sample came from the Stampin' Success magazine...the card is 4x4, if I made it again, I would do it bigger, as a 5x5, the stamp is certainly big enough!!

Acetate Snowmen

I "cased" this card (with permission of course) from one of my friends from Stampin Canada.

This card is almost identical to a card Sherry made for the "Jump Start Christmas" swap that I hosted.

What a great use of acetate...I never would have thought to use it in the centre of the card like this to show the sentiment inside - brilliant!! Thanks for allowing me to copy and share it Sherry!

You know Dasher...

Is it too early to start singing Christmas carols??? Nahhhhhh....

This "Dasher" stamp is one of my favourite single stamps from the current Stampin' Up catalogue.

We used the Scor-Pal to make the grid on the green paper, not sure if you can see it or not, but there is shimmer paint on his antlers.

Happy Turkey Day

Hmmmm - so here's the punch turkey - and now that I have made him, I am not all too keen on him, he's definately hitting the dinner table...hahahaha

For all the work he was - lots of fiddly parts, I don't see too many punch turkey cards in my future!

My favourite part of this card is the crumpled up / torn / inked paper bag behind the jive turkey :)

Scary Halloween Mummy!

I absoloutely love this card!

I saw it on another blog http://giddygreetings.blogspot.com and just had to try it out.

I couldn't swing the paper bow, so I added a happy halloween stamp instead...

What do you think?? Is he not the cutest little mummy?

Happy Birthday Kyle!!!

My nephew is turning 12 today!!

HOLY MOLY!!!

He grew taller than me over the summer of 2009 (yes, I know that doesn't take much).

He has the best sense of humour and is WAY to smart for his own good (yep he totally gets that from his Auntie Donna).

Happy Birthday to my #1 'phew and the only Senators fan in the family.

Love you mucho my captain poopy pants!!

Easy Peasy Halloween Projects

Remember these from last year???

I love them, and they are sooooo easy to make.

All you need are a few peppermint patties, a scallop punch, a corner punch and a small circle punch...and if you don't have those, just cut the shapes out...but punches are sooooooo much easier if you are making them in mass quantities :)

We're having a United Way fundraiser at work on October 30th, I think I might make up a bunch of these for the Trick or Treaters :)

Here's a closer look at Mr. Spider:

Scallop Punch Pumpkins

Yep - it's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada.

Hooooray for the last long weekend of 2009!!!

Thought I would try my hand at making some little pumpkins with the scallop punch.

The one on the left was made first, and then I thought...ohhhh pumpkins are bumpy, I should probably crimp the paper first. I think I like the crimped one better...

Now - off to make a scallop punch turkey hahaha.

Top Note gift card holder

This top note gift card holder was also demonstrated at Stampinpalooza this past weekend.

The front and back are both top notes, the inside is 1/2 a top note.

It opens like a hinge card, I used a snowflake brad to attach the pieces together.

Here's a picture of what it looks like open...

Thanksgiving Card

Also bought this card making kit at Stampinpalooza this past weekend, thought it would be a fun project to do in a class this week.

Here's the outside of the card:

And here's a picture of the insert with the folder it slips into:

Colour Core Cardstock...

Here's something cool I learned at Stampinpalooza last weekend.

You can start with a bright colour cardstock (I used orange) brayer over it with a darker colour (I used black) to make colour core cardstock.

Once I had it all brayered up in black, I used the cuttlebug and then a sanding block to get some orange to show through...then wanting more orange around the edges, I tore it around all sides.

All in all I am pretty happy with how this came out - I got to use a new cuttlebug folder and my new skull and crossbones die cut :)

Look what I made with my Zutter!

It's a little post it note holder...you may ask why there are holes down the side??

Well, the answer is easy, the shape is not a square, and I didn't punch the right sides on both pieces of cardboard, so I had to add more holes, I think it makes it more...hmmmm....what's the word...esthetically pleasing...ya that's it.

OK - truth is this was my first sample for a class tomorrow night, it took me a long time to cut all the cardboard and I didn't want to have to cut more...so holes the sample shall have...

Downline Meeting

Had a downline meeting with the fabutastic ML this week...

Here are the make and takes we made.

The more I use these sweet treat cups the more I like them :)

And now that I finally made one that's re-fillable...thanks to instructions from Jen and a demo from ML...there's no stopping me! hahahahhahaha

Here's the re-fillable one:

Think I used too much snow in this one, my poor penguin is buried up to his belly!

Love this one using the new ornament stamp set and punch :)

Stampinpalooza Make & Takes

Here are the make and takes that Jen and I made at Stampinpalooza this past weekend. Still have one more (a box) to finish up - will post it later on...
