A Tiny Craft - Challenge #4 - We Remember

Greetings and salutations crafty friends!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from the A TINY CRAFT (ATC) design team.

Our theme this month is "We Remember"  in honour of Remembrance Day and Veterans Day.

That means we want to see something related to Remembrance or Veterans Day, poppies, military theme, lots of red...however you interpret it.

I wanted to make a very distressed, perhaps old looking, perhaps left behind looking poppy. After I  sanded the Core'dinations cardstock (both the poppy and the background piece), I spritzed and crumpled the poppy up a few times to give it a more distressed look, like maybe it had fallen off of someone's coat, or been left at a Cenotaph after a Remembrance Day ceremony.

Shite I used to make this ATC:
  • Cardboard ATC base
  • Black and red Core'dinations Color Core cardstock (Tim Holtz)
  • Sanding block (SU)
  • Swiss Dots embossing folder (ProvoCraft)
  • Water spritzer (SU)
  • Large heart and 3/4" circle punches (SU)
  • Button brad
  • Big Chat sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
  • Black Soot distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Foam dots (Recollections)
We would love for you to join the challenge and play along.
You can find all the details for the challenge on the A TINY CRAFT (ATC) BLOG.
While you are there, please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of our design team and our special guest.

I'd also like to enter this ATC into the ATCs From The Heart challenge #110 - Anything Goes

What a beautiful story about the trip your poppy took. I love the gold button brad, (I actually thought it was a grommet) Gorgeous ATC, love, love, love the distress even though I really don't like distress (make sense?)
