Speaking of skulls...

So, speaking of skulls...have you seen my new tattoo??

Yes - it's real, no - it won't wash off and yes - my mum already rolled her eyes.

Got this done in Hamilton on August 1st and yes I love her, my little girlie skull...trying to come up with a good name for her...what do you think of Scariella (Scary Ella)??

In more skull news...while I was in Winnipeg over the labour day weekend, one of the fun events planned for us was a visit from a henna tattoo artist, I had a sugar skull design done on my hand, Kim (the artist) did it totally freehand and I was totally impressed!!

Here it is as a work in progress:

And here is the final product:

Sugar Skull Stamps...Sugar Skull stamps...

I am soooooo ordering that first set :) Gotta have it (can't wait for Christmas) gotta have it!!

YAY! I bought a zutter today!!

Exciting exciting exciting! I bought a zutter today!
It is my plan to make a little note book for each of my staff (yep, all 19 of them!) for Christmas.
I figured if I start now I might (note MIGHT) have them done by then :)

Lucky for me I have an on-call zutter expert available for consultation - thanks Wenchie :)

So, I also have to tell you about the GREAT store that I went to today to buy my zutter.

Old Tyme Country Crafts in Brampton - what a great experience. I felt very at home and welcome from the moment I went into the store. Having never used a zutter before, Sandy was kind enough to give me a quick demonstration - will let you know how I make out with mine later on :)

I always like to share good experiences (we are often so quick to share the bad ones) so I thought I would mention it here and encourage y'all to check out their blog and store if you get the chance.

Can't wait to try out my new zutter!!

Shoe Box Swap Card

For the Second Annual Stampin Canada Get Together in Winnipeg over Labour Day weekend, we did a shoebox swap.
If you are not familiar with what that is, each person makes a card, and brings enough supplies (usually in a shoebox) for all the other participants to make the card as well.

Here is the card I made:

Brrrrrrr....chilly...you know what that means??

You guessed it...Christmas is coming!

Lisa (Futz) told me the other day - only 100 more sleeps, must be a few less than that by now (no I am not going to count!!)

This week we are going to do a "Jump Start on Christmas" class featuring some of the new sets and items in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini...I couldn't resist, I bought a LOT!!

Card #1 - based on a sample in the mini itself...I bought these tags on a visit to Chicago last year and had no idea what to do with them...

Card #2 - this is by far the fiddliest card I have ever made, I love the sweet treat cups, but it took me a few tries to get it right, and even still the top of the ornament is off centre...

Card #3 - love this ornament set and the matching punch - so easy to use. This is a variation of another card I made for a shoebox swap for the Stampin Canada Second Annual get together in Winnipeg over labour day weekend...will post that one shortly.

Welcome Grace!!

The Park family welcomed a new addition to their family recently! Welcome Grace!

14 days overdue, but soooooo worth the wait, she came to visit us at work (with mom and dad) so Grandma Valerie could show her off, I got to hold her and she is only 5 days old!

Congrats to Sarah and Rob (mom and dad), big sister Anna, and of course Grandma Valerie and Grandpa Michael!!
