Shopping Our Stash #218 - Mirror Mirror

Mirror mirror on the wall...

This week's SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge is to use something reflective.

I found these pre-punched and embossed red metallic hearts in my stash of things I plan to come back to later (which I hardly ever do). I think Leslie calls them UFOs (unfinished objects).

Part of the fun of using reflective materials is trying to find an angle of taking the picture where you don't see yourself in the reflection lol...not sure I entirely succeeded.

For the Mirror Mirror challenge I thought I would make a wedding card as two of my JHS co-workers are getting married this month and it never hurts to have a stash of wedding, anniversary, Valentine cards on hand.

Here's what I came up with for the challenge:

Shite I used to make this card:

  • White cardstock (Fireworx)
  • Red metallic cardstock (Dollarama)
  • Swiss Dots embossing folder (Provo Craft)
  • #hashtags stamp set (Tim Holtz)
  • Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
  • Fishtail / Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
We'd love for you to play along with the Shopping Our Stash crew and see what you can come up with for the challenge.

Check out the SHOPPING OUR STASH BLOG for all the details on the challenge and while you are there visit the blogs of the rest of the design team and show them some crafty love!

UFOs RULE! Nice wedding/Valentine's Day card. I don't think I've ever seen the Tim Holt hashtag set being used (glad I didn't buy it), but that sentiment is perfect for this card!

So CAS and pretty! And you have just explained why I have so little reflective paper in my stash — danger of reflected selfie when photographing. :D
