Wait til you see what Edna and the sisters have in store for you with this new challenge!! This time around "V is for Vellum."
I had to search high and low in my craft room for some scraps of vellum...I am sure I bought lots at one point, but it's finicky to work with...the ink rubs off, you can see the adhesive through it...blah blah blah...
Nonetheless...I found a few inches of it in my scraps and set about trying to think of something to do with it.
First the ink rubbed off (grrrrrrr....don't use memento ink on vellum friends...stick with the staz-on!) then I could see the adhesive through the vellum...no I don't know why that bothers me so much LOL
At long last, here's what I came up with:
Once I achieved some un-smeary stamping with my staz-on, I thought I couldn't read the sentiment well enough on the design paper, so I layered the flag on a piece of white cardstock and VOILA I used vellum!!
Shite I used to make this card:
- Whisper White cardstock (SU)
- It's a Celebration design papers and stickers (Carta Bella)
- Sarcastic Superpower stamp set (Rubber Dance Art Stamps)
- Wondering Midge stamp (Riley & Co)
- Tuxedo Black ink (Memento)
- Black ink (Staz-On)
- Fishtail and Banner die set (Your Next Stamp)
- Black Sharpie & ruler
Be sure to visit the SoSS BLOG for all the details on the challenge and while you are there show our Guest Designer and all the sisters some crafty lovin' won't you?
We'd love for you to join the sisterhood and play along, maybe YOU will be our next Queen or Princess of Snark!!
