Drunken Stampers Challenge 135: Person / Athlete

Woooooo hoooooo the Drunken Stampers are back for another term of crafty awesomeness!!! This term I am part of the Yellow Canary team - who knew there was a drink called that??? My Yellow Canary teammates are:

Be sure to visit their blogs to share the crafty love!!

This term all of the Drunken Stampers challenges are going to be based on a Person, Place or Thing, and you will have options for each challenge. For example, this week's challenge is based on a person, specifically an athlete, so you can use an athlete or any sport as your inspiration.

For this challenge I knew right away what I wanted to do, my cousin Alley is having a baby in October... GO TEAM PINK!!! and I wanted to make a card for her baby shower using the same colours and papers as the shower invites we made. I also knew that since the baby's daddio is a big hockey fan, I wanted to make a jersey with their last name on it and the number 13 (which is BOTH the year she will be born and my lucky number).

After I made that card, I thought it might be fun to make a matching one in blue for our adopted son Joel who will be coming home on August 14th. His has the number 18 for the date of his birthday, which is also his lucky number.

Here's a picture of the two cards side by side:
