SoSS #209 - U is for Underwater

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Have no fear...Edna is safe and sound...she was just being a wee tad melodramatic for the U is for Underwater challenge graphic...Sister Lee always does such a great job with these graphics doesn't she??

No snark from me this time around. I am far too cranky for snark. After two long years of being extremely careful, I made a bad call and went to a family gathering at my in laws and...you guessed it...got COVID...so it's been a bit of a bumpy week. Somehow luckily I am the only person in my house to test positive - so we are living proof that masking and social distancing does work!

As much as I do feel like drowning someone, or a few someones, I tried to not let that reflect in my underwater card...at the end of the day it was my call, I put myself in the situation and I have to be responsible for the consequences....but man it's so much more fun to blame someone else for your predicament!

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Monterey Bay 6x6 paper pad (PhotoPlay)
  • Monterey Bay cardstock ephemera (PhotoPlay)
  • Monterey Bay element stickers (PhotoPlay)
As always, we would love for you to take up the underwater challenge and play along with us!

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

SoSS #208 - L is for Layers

Greetings and salutations snarky pals!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out the latest challenge from Edna and the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Much like my personal clothing style because I am either freezing or overheating...yep even at this time of year...our theme for the challenge is L is for Layers.

How many layers can you fit on one project??? The sisterhood wants to know!

I was lucky enough (along with a few of my snarky sisters and other crafty pals) to attend (virtually) a Crop & Create weekend in March...THREE whole days of crafting and card making!!

Now, I could NOT keep up for the life of me...so I am slowly going back through the videos of the classes to make my cards...for this challenge, I made a card based on a class from The Stamp Market featuring the Friendly Hello stamp set, dies and stencil.

I also learned how to do some ink blending (like WAY out of my comfort zone) but how lucky am I that my generous SISTER MICHELLE gifted me a set of blending brushes before this event! I sure put them to good use!

I don't even want to hint at the length of time it took me to make this one card - with the video AND with written instructions LMAO - hopefully you can see the 5 layers in the die cuts in the "friend" on the card.

Shite I used to make this card:
  • White cardstock (Recollections)
  • Color Crush cardstock (The Stamp Market)
  • Friendly Hello stamp set, dies & stencil (The Stamp Market)
  • Honeysuckle, Oceanside, Sprout and Grapefruit inks (Concord & 9th)
  • Mustard Seed distress ink (Tim Holtz)
  • Watering Can archival ink (Wendy Vecchi / Ranger)
  • Ink blending brushes
  • Sequins
As always, we would love for you to take up the layers challenge and play along with us.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the SoSS BLOG.

A Tiny Craft (ATC) Challenge #8 - Bunnies

Greetings and salutations crafty pals!

Spring is in the air and hopefully here to stay. Don't know about you - but it has felt like a longer than usual winter...

The ATC design team are back with a new challenge and we would love for you to play along.

Easter is upon us and we decided to use "bunnies" as a theme for this challenge.

Easter is the one theme I don't have many supplies for, but I do have my trusty go to bunny die which luckily enough fits on an ATC.

Shite I used to make this ATC:
  • Cardboard ATC base
  • White and kraft cardstock (Recollections)
  • Hey Honey stamp, die and stencil (Pink & Main)
  • Polynesian Purple, Fandango Pink, Key Lime and Yellow Blaze markers (Bic)
  • Blending brushes
  • Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry distress inks (Tim Holtz)
  • Fence punch (Martha Stewart)
  • Small Talk Occasions sentiment sticker (Tim Holtz)
As always, we would love for you to play along.

You can find all the details for the challenge on the A Tiny Craft Blog.

While you are there please share some crafty love and comments with the rest of the design team.
