Drunken Stampers Challenge #134 - Enchanted

Can you believe this is the last "official" challenge for this term? Thanks to all the members of the Midnight Margaritas and Bahama Mamas for making our design team so much fun this term!!

Be sure to visit the DRUNKEN STAMPERS BLOG for all the details on this challenge and to show the Bahama Mamas some crafty love!!

This week's challenge is based on the movie Enchanted and you can either use the movie or fairy tales as your inspiration. While I have never seen this movie, DH and I were in NYC while they were filming it and saw a few scenes set up around Times Square. So I went for more of a fairy tale theme for my project this time around and decided to make a mixed media canvas. This one is a stash canvas, everything on it has been in my stash for at least a year (other than the distress stain).

I started with a blank 6x8 canvas from the dollar store and coloured the base using picked raspberries distress stain (Tim Holtz). Next I added a piece of white mulberry paper, torn around the edges. I have a bunch of pink paper bags, I tore one up and used a piece of a page of a thesaurus in the middle of that. Next I added the pink ribbon on the edge, then the clock and key charms, bling and finally the wedding dress. I added butterfly wings behind the "happily ever after" and used another small piece of the mulberry paper through the top of it.

Don't forget to link up your project for this challenge on the DRUNKEN STAMPERS BLOG. You have until 11:59 pm PST on Friday July 5th....maybe YOU will be our next Life of the Party winner!!
