For Niblet / Thelma

My friend Niblet / Thelma is the queen of scrapping and all things crafty (IMHO)
It has been soooooo long since I did a scrapbook page...I am over 4 years behind.
I check Niblet / Thelma's blog often to see what she has been up to (yes I stalk my friends' blogs) and am constantly in awe at her amazing scrapbook pages.
Niblet / Thelma also introduced me to a new craft forum - Scraptures - and I joined a swap to make a scrapbook page
It went kinda like broken telephone, one person makes a page, sends it on to the next person and so on...so it will be interesting to see how it comes out in the end
Here's my contribution, I dedicate it to Niblet / Thelma as she has inspired me to do more scrapping (hee hee we'll see how that goes).
So this page is from a road trip to Manitoba in 2006, we had gone out to see Kevin's cousin Herman on the combines when a bad storm came up real fast.

Weddings...

Speaking of weddings, my friend Andie got married this past weekend!!

Congrats Andie & Mike!! They are living it up in Las Vegas right now...lucky buggers!

Here are the two wedding cards for this week's class:

Babies...babies...babies

This week's class is a by request class...the ladies wanted to make wedding and baby cards...so here are the two baby cards:

Crib Notes:

Hello Little Baby:

I heart boys who sparkle

This cute "Edward" stamp is from The Greeting Farm

Not sure if you can tell in the picture, but he is stamped on glittery white cardstock, so he does sparkle!!

Greetings From Forks

Greetings from Forks, complete with the forest and werewolf paw print :)

Books with a Bite

Love this bookmark...

The sentiment says "I like books with a little bite"

Of course I had to add Team Emmett to mine...

The Volturi are watching...

Tomorrow night we are doing Twilight themed cards.

Here's the first of four we'll be making.

This one is actually three pages, like a book, but it went flat when I scanned it...

Love the red eyes...the Volturi are watching!!

Birds Birds and more Birds...

For someone who is bird-phobic I sure have been making a lot of bird cards recently...

A few people have asked for samples of the new SU owl punch...

Here are two that I made recently at a Stamp A Stack with my lovely SU upline ML

What do you think??? Is this punch on your wish list?? I am not yet convinced...

Christmas in July swap

Yes, I know, it's September not July...

I hosted a Christmas in July swap over on SC and nearly all the cards are in YAY!

WOW, these ladies are talented!!

Here's my swap card...

Tri Fold Thank You Card

One last SCS tutorial for today...

Here's the link to the tri fold card:

And here's my card:

Triangle Tri Fold Card

Here's another tutorial on SCS that I tried today, a triangle tri fold card:

Here's the front of the card (it ties shut with ribbon, I took that off for the picture):

And here's how it looks open:

half front card

Here's another one I made today...was originally going to be a Z fold card, but I didn't measure it properly

I just cut 1/2 the front off and layered the tree 1/2 way over

Still came out ok even though it wasn't what I was thinking originally...

double diagonal pocket card

Long weekend...woo wooo

Thought I would use a day of no work to try some new things in the craft room

The Splitcoast Stampers website has some great tutorials...I tried a few new ones today

And here's my card...this was fun to make and quite a bit easier than I thought it was going to be ... which is always good
