Brayered cards

Using brayering (rolling ink onto the paper) gives a very different look.

With a brayer you can create a background that looks like a sunset, sky, grass - whatever you want.

Love that you can also blend colours together and use Versamark to resist the ink as well (see the butterfly sample above).
These are some cards we made in a recent class with SU Demo ML.

Christmas in July...

Sad but true - Christmas is now less than 5 months away!

If you can believe it - we have already received our first Christmas card order!

I went to a Christmas in July party this week (hosted by Stampin Canada buddy Jen) to make some new Christmas samples, and here's a few of what we made :)

Poker Themed Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card we crafted for a Texas Hold'em poker player. It's a waterfall card with black clubs & spades and red diamonds and hearts.

The inside (where it says time to play) is a gift card holder.

One more Chocolate and Blue sample...

Here's sample #3 of the Chocolate and Blue wedding thank you card samples. The more we work with this colour combination, the more we like it :)

Wedding Thank You Card Samples

Wedding "Thank You" cards in chocolate brown and baby blue - what a gorgeous colour combination this bride selected! Love it!!

Bella Bride Version 2.0

This card may look familiar - we posted a similar sample not long ago.

Changed up the ink and the design paper a bit - much happier with this version.

Double Baby Buggy Bumper

A friend of mine has a sister who is expecting twins this year!! How exciting!!

Here's my version of "It's a Boy" "It's a Girl"

Another Inked CB folder

I like to call this one Double Butterfly Version 2.0

It's a remake of a previous card with a few minor revisions, including the CB layered background (1st layer inked with the brayer) and some sparkly brads.

Inked CB Folders

Well...you learn something new everyday! Today I learned that it's really easy to ink a cuttlebug folder and get a cool effect! You can either ink the folder directly for a "patchy" look or use a brayer for a more "smooth" look.

The sample is inked directly onto the cuttlebug folder. Ahhhh how I love my cuttlebug :)

Summer's Here!!!

This card features one of our new favourite stamps - Penguin Dude!!

Love him!!!

Here's two shots of this card, from the front and side, this is a Z fold card, so the Penguin Dude sticks out in a kind of 3-D way...

Acetate (transparent) Birthday Card

Really liking the flexibility of acetate cards, so many options...

Another something different...

A small scrapbook / photo album made from scratch! Great gift idea!

Something a little different - 3D project

Here's a cute purse constructed entirely from paper! What a cute idea for a gift bag!

Colour Challenge

This was a total challenge to my "colour comfort zone" - orange, pink, red and brown.

Different - but really pleased with the results!!

Good luck Bella

Trying to get a few more Bella samples posted...here's another featuring goodluckabella

Round Card

Yep - I really like this "Tart & Tangy" set from Stampin Up' - have used it on a number of projects.

Here's a round card - a little something...
