Greetings snarky pals!
Not sure if Edna has made it through her first cuppa joe yet, so we might need to keep it down for a bit til her caffeine kicks in!
Grab your favourite steamy bevvy and join us for C is for Caffeine!
Me, I am all about the tea, I come by it honestly through my English heritage I think!
I love the smell of coffee, never been a fan of the taste of it though. Perhaps that's because me old pot & pan brews his coffee like he brews his beer....dark dark dark!
I was inspired by SISTER JANE'S project for this challenge. She based her card on Costa Coffee from the UK.
Naturally, being a good and loyal hockey lovin hoser from the Great White North...I had to base mine on Tim Horton's!
Here's what I came up with:
I can hear you asking yourself...how in the world did Donna get those perfect little coffee stain rings??
Did I mention I drink a LOT of Tim Horton's steeped tea??
Well the recycle bin in the craft room has **ahem** a few empty cups in it, so I pulled one out, dipped it in the ink and voila..actual coffee cup stains! Yes, I am quite pleased with myself on that one!
Can I say that I also quite pleased with myself that I stamped the sentiment, the rings and the dots ALL directly on the base of the card...like first time round!!! No do overs!! Way to go me!!!
Please also note that the corrugated cardboard sleeve on the cup is also re-purposed from an actual although altogether different Tim Horton's steeped tea cup from the recycling bin.
Shite I used to make this card:
- White cardstock (Fireworx)
- Early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler core-dinations cardstock (SU)
- Early Espresso ink (SU)
- Fresh Brewed die (Tim Holtz)
- Perfect Blend stamp set (SU)
- Maple Leaf punch (Martha Stewart)
- Tim Horton's cup & sleeve (my local drive thru)
- Pencil eraser
- Sanding blocks (SU)
As always, we'd love for you to join the sisterhood and play along with us.
Check out the SoSS BLOG for all the details on the challenge and while you are there please share some crafty lovin with the rest of the sisterhood!
Until next time...
Until next time...

I love that sentiment! Great card, Jo x
Yes, that is one awesome card! Way to use actual parts from an actual cup for the ring stain and cardboard sleeve!
WTG with the coffee rings and the truly Canadian cup. Awesome design
I wonder if Tim Horton and Costa are related, their colour scheme looks similar. That maple leaf you've added gives it a truly all-Canadian look!
Jane
Looks great.. I have a stamp that makes the rings perfectly.. bo bunny one,
