Scraptures Wild Card Wednesday - October 23, 2013

It's Wednesday, over on Scraptures that means it's time for another Wild Card Wednesday challenge. This month I have been making cards to send to Canadian troops overseas using the "Operation Write Home" stamp set that came in this month's card kit. I think this one is my favourite so far.

I inked up the stencil with early espresso ink and then rubbed it directly onto the kraft cardstock.
I wanted the card to have a distressed / well travelled look, so I shredded all the edges with scissors and crinkled up the leaves.

SUPPLIES:
Early Espresso cardstock (SU)
Kraft cardstock (Recollections)
Cranberry cardstock (October card kit)
Early Espresso ink (SU)
Operation Write Home stamp set (Hero Arts)
Woodgrain Stencil (Prima)
Maple Leaf punch (Martha Stewart)

Remember, if you want to send a card overseas to show your support of our troops, here's the address again:

Love this card Donna! The distressing, the embossed woodgrain, and that hot pink makes for a fabulous looking card!
