More mosaics...

I wanted to try and make some more mosaic samples, this time around using paper pieces (gotta use up that scrap DP somehow!) and inchies - both things I don't do often.

Here's what I came up with...thanks for lookin!

Mosaic Class

Attended a 'mosaic' class with the lovely ML a few weeks ago, here are the cards we made:

Here's one I made later based on the first one above:

Miss Imagination ATC Swap

I joined an ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap on Miss Imagination, I had never made an ATC before, here's my first attempt:

SC Get Together - May 15

Spent a day last weekend with some of my SC friends.

Lynne, Judy, Dianne, Flora, Barb and I spent the day chatting and doing some projects.

Dianne brought her alcohol inks and copics for us to try out, Barb showed us how to make glittery butterflies, Judy brought a beautiful card kit for us to make, and I demonstrated a few things including a spinner card, which just had to have a monkey on it.

Mr. Sock Monkey also made a guest appearance and hung out with us as we spent the day chatting, laughing and crafting.

Thanks to Flora for being the hostess with the mostest for the day!

Here's the great card that Judy helped us make:

Here's my monkey spinner:

And here's Mr. Sock Monkey getting in on the action with the brayer and alcohol inks...bad monkey!!

SC Brayer swap

Here's the card front I made for the SC brayer swap...
Lovely as a tree stamp is heat embossed in black before using the brayer over top.

Here's another card I made with the same idea, used a layered ribbon technique on this one that I learned from my SU demo, I like the look it gives the ribbon:

Happy Birthday Dad!

Earlier this month, my lovely FIL celebrated his birthday.
I always struggle with masculine cards, I liked what I had done for the SC brayer swap, so I mixed the colours up a bit to make it more "manly"

SC bling swap

Over on Stampin Canada we are having 1-1 card swaps each month.

Each person is assigned a partner, and we make and send a card to each other.

This month's theme is bling.

I am totally anti glitter...so I used some little gems instead...
