Vintage Vogue

Here's the last of the cards that we are going to make in our class tomorrow night.

I really should prepare more in advance, the later at night it gets the stranger cards come out...although I like the colour combination on this one...trying to get away from pink / purple on every card

Not sure why I used that filmstrip punch - but again, at almost 10:00 pm...I am not changing it now...

Razzleberry Spritz

I wanted to try out some of the new smooch spritzes from the Stampin' Up summer mini...

Thought the silver would look nice with the medallion...I think I went a bit overboard on the spritz...will know for next time, at least it's nice and sparkly :)

Started with just the medallion, felt like it needed something...added the butterflies, on the finished card there is a clear itty bitty button the same shape as the punched shape, took it off to scan it.

Not too happy with the butterfly - but at almost 10:00 pm, it'll do for now

My take on vintage

I really love vintage cards - when other people make them...for some reason mine don't seem to get that cool vintage vibe...

Nonetheless - here's one I attempted tonight

The scan is a bit wonky as the courdoroy button makes the card bumpy.

This card is also uniquely wheeled on the back of the card - as the first time I did it, the wheel was upside down hahahahaha
I made the flower with two punched flowers, spritzed with water and wrinkled up...
I also distressed the edges of the white paper before I sponged them, but it's not real clear in the picture...but you get the idea...

Giraffe Birthday

I should stamp extra images more often by accident hahahaha

Finished off 30 baby shower invitations this afternoon and had an extra giraffe...needed a birthday card so ta da...here it is:

Happy Birthday Pot & Pan

Monday is my Dad's birthday :)

I liked the sonk monkey baby shower invite so much (and because I can't count and coloured an extra monkey)...I decided to use one on his birthday card.

The birthday hat is paper pieced from the same DP as behind the monkey.

Happy birthday pot & pan - love ya!!! xoxoxox

Sock Monkey baby shower invites

I was so excited when Shalyn asked me to make baby shower invitations for her sister in law using a monkey stamp.
We all know that Sock Monkey is one of my favourites :)

For Dave V...

Tomorrow will be a sad day at work, another of my staff is leaving...

Here is the card I made for our team to sign for him to wish him good luck

Dave V - the DiNozzo to my Gibbs, you do indeed rock...

Mother's Day cards...

Monday night is Mother's Day class...yep we're getting a jump on that one!! Mum's are important!!

In addition to the joy fold card with the butterflies on it that I already posted, we'll be making this pink / brown card (my fave combo):

We'll also be trying out a flower pot card, this was my first attempt at one of these, it wasn't too tough :)

It's kinda bulky so it didn't scan very well, but here's what it looks like:

Here's what the insert looks like:

Vintage Cards

Attended a vintage class with my SU upline this week.

Here are the three cards we made:

Joy Fold Card

I have always wanted to try one of these Joy Fold Cards.

Over at Stampin' Canada we are having a spring themed 1-1 card swap, each person makes one card and sends it to another member, and you get one back in return.

This is the card that my someone will be receiving for this swap.

Once I got the dimensions figured out it wasn't too tough...if you would like to make one, the instructions can be found on SplitCoastStampers at this link:

More punchie cards...

I know I know, no posts for weeks, then three in a day - trying to get caught up here, bear with me :)

Went to another punchie class with my fab SU upline ML, here are the two cards we made:

Isn't this expecting card just adorable?? I love it!! I have a certain expecting friend that is getting one of these for sure!!

I had myself completely convinced I didn't need the new XL bird punch from Stampin' Up until we made this card, you can use the bird's wings to make flower petals!! Love it!

Easter Cards

I have wanted to try one of these frame cards for a while now, finally got around to making one, so cute and easy...

This one was posted by Ter on Stampin' Canada...flower made from the large oval punch, then the top is fed back ito the scallop punch for the petals...

Punchie Penguin

OK - you know I love love love punchie cards - here's a punchie penguin using a variety of Stampin Up punches and the top note die cut. Isn't he cute??

I have instructions if you would like to make one yourself - lemme know :)
