Look at me go...

I readily admit I buy / hoard more stamping supplies than I actually use.
I tend to buy stuff I don't know how to use, try it, hate it, get frustrated, put it away and forget about it.
A while back I did exactly that with heat and stick powder. Tried it, didn't like it, put it away.
I have also accumulated a great deal of glitter, and for those of you that know me, I don't like glitter, it gets everywhere and I never ever use it on cards, but for some reason I continue to buy it, especially if it's pink or purple.
I also buy a lot of chipboard pieces, bug shapes, frames, snowflakes, you name it...without ever knowing what I am going to use them for.
Tonight I found a GREAT tutorial, that I like to call Heat & Stick for Dummies (me)...I read it once and went "ohhhhhh that's how you do it" tried it and it worked!
If heat and stick powder has been a mystery to you, I would like to share with you this fantastic tutorial...here's the link:

And here is the card I made tonight...using...get this...heat and stick powder...glitter...AND...a chipboard frame!!
Yep, sometimes I amaze myself...can ya tell???

Cool Card Caddy

Found this nifty card caddy template on another blog and wanted to give it a try. Uber cute and a cinch to make - my favourite combination!!

If you'd like to see the tutorial, please visit the blog where I found it, here's the link:

The caddy is designed to hold 5 cards and envelopes, I used a leftover piece of the DP for the handle instead of ribbon...so I used on piece of 12x12 DP to make the caddy.

Another new stamp set...

Although I am quite happy with how this card came out, it was a little more colouring than I usually like to do (yes I am lazy when it comes to colouring images).

A good friend of my dad's gave me a set of these stacking dolls when I was small, and I loved playing with them.

This card also uses one of the new sentiment stamps and features the 2009 - 2010 in colours and coordinating design paper and ribbon.

Baby on the way!

Recently found out that my friend Jade is expecting her third child!!
Congrats!!
Here's a card I made for her using the new Fox & Friends stamp set and the new scallop edge punch.

Countdown to 2010...
